Raoul chuckled. "A lot of people haven't even heard of it," he said shaking his head in disapproval, "You'd be surprised how many people don't read plays." He smirked, "'Doctor Faustus' was an amazing play, better than Macbeth in my opinion."

Ammeryn shrugged. "Well, it is really old. And some teenagers have more social lives then we do." She giggled, and once again corrected the sound to a chuckle.
"I don't think I have a favorite play, though. I'm not one much for theater-- I've only read a few outside the ones required by the curriculum."

Raoul tilted his head slightly to the side, "Why don't you like plays that much? I can't get enough of them." He flipped his hair, he had to keep his quota, "I do read books too though. But I don't connect with them as well. I guess I like how it could be taken so many different ways. It all depends on how the director views it and how the actors see their roles. . . " He stopped.
She was probably beginning to think he was a weirdo for thinking this much about words on a page.

"Novels are just as open to interpretation as plays are," Ammeryn replied. "The good ones, at least." She arched an eyebrow. "But I don't connect--" borrowing Raoul's word-- "with plays like I do with novels. Yes, plays can be manipulated to fit the views of those involved in its production, but they don't pull you in the same way novels do. At least, not the way I see them." She crossed her arms with one hand raised to her face, resting her cheek against her palm. Her eyes took on a faraway look, as if she were dreaming. "A well-written novel brings you to a whole new place-- it's like a dream you can relive at will, because it's all there in one place; the world, its inhabitants... Reality isn't confined to the believable in those pages."

Raoul smiled softly at the look on her face. "I'm guessing that you know from personal experience?" he asked unable to hide his joy. "Would you care to share?"

Ammeryn blinked a few times-- her eyes came back into focus and looked to Raoul at his question. She realized then how she'd been speaking and felt a deep blush warm her face.
"Oh." She half-smiled, feeling suddenly shy. "I'm-- It's-- Heh." She covered her face with her hands for a moment and looked down. "S-sorry. I get a bit carried away. I'm a passionate follower of good fiction." She looked up at Raoul through her fingers. "I'm not spacy. I promise."

"It's fine," Raoul said as he reached out to gently touch her arm, "I'm glad that you're so passionate about something, something so cool."
Raoul looked up, they were at the library door. "Ah, I do believe you have reached your destination, my dear." He did another hair flip.

Ammeryn lowered her hands and smiled at Raoul, the peered around the door. She spotted the glowing librarian off nearer the section where they kept extra text books.
Ammeryn glanced back at Raoul and said, "I'll be right back," before darting off to stand behind the woman. Ammeryn was the same height as Aye, but to get the librarian's attention she tugged on Aye's glowing red braid like a child.
Aye rounded on the girl, mouth opened to give a reprimand, but upon seeing who it was she arched and eyebrow and smirked. She and Ammeryn exchanged a few words, and Aye retreated to her office for a few moments. She returned with a thick book in her hands, which was passed to Ammeryn. Ammeryn smiled, bounced slightly on her heels, and gave the woman a bow of her head before returning to the doorway to meet Raoul.
"Here," she said as she reached him, handing the male the rather large paperback. "Danielewski's House of Leaves." She grinned and tucked her hair behind her ear. "The new books weren't in yet, but Aye let me borrow this again-- it's from her personal collection. So take care of it." Her grin changed to something so purely mischievous that it made all witnesses remember just who her father was. "It comes highly recommended."

"Ummm, thanks," he said taking the book warily, "I think?" Raoul looked at the cover of the book, it looked interesting to say the very least. "It wont scare me . . . will it?"

Ammeryn shrugged. "I liked it. It's an old book-- my dad read it a bunch of times when he was in school. Oh, what was it he used to say about it?" She pursed her lips in thought and let her eyes drift upward in thought. "Oh. He said, 'Do not read this if you're high. Not even for shits and giggles. Resulting shits involve no giggles.' Heh." She grinned.

Raoul arched an eyebrow in mock anger, "Are you suggesting I use said substances?" He wasn't sure if she was being serious or not . . . but just to make sure he'd be sure to read this book with all the lights on.

Ammeryn's grin became positively evil. "Of course I am. Oracle moss is highly addictive." She wagged a warning finger in his face. "The green kind is bad enough, but the purple-- oh, dear, the purple. You should really get off that stuff. Honestly." She pouted her lips and willed her eyes to glisten, grabbing his shoulders in mock distress. "Can't you see that it's tearing you apart, Raoul?"

Raoul wasn't sure how to handle this at first. Then . . . he decided to go with it. "I'm sorry," Raoul said with a dramatic tone, "It's just sooooo good!!" He hid eyes with his hand and sighed, "I told you I wasn't a perfect person. I have my needs."

Ammeryn squeezed the boy's shoulders and shook him slightly. "That's okay, Raoul. We can do this together-- we'll work through this for the sake of the people who love you!"

Raoul pretended to wince in pain at her words. He lowered his hand and looked at her, his dark orange-brown eyes twinkling with fake tears. "You don't know my pain, you don't know my life," he said his voice shaking drenched with emo-ism. "No one loves me," he whispered looking away into the distance, "No one."

Ammeryn, fighting back the grin on her face, composed her expression into dramatic desperation. "But I love you, my dear!" She gripped the front of his shirt lightly-- so as not to wrinkle the fabric-- and buried her face in his chest. "Can't you see that? Can't you see that I'm here for you?! I always have been~!"
This was getting ridiculous. But oh my Kane, was it fun.

Raoul fought a grin. "But how?" he asked turning from her, "how could you love someone like me?" Should he go for the drama factor . . . sure why not. "A monster like me," he added, "I can't even hold my liquor." He had no clue where the last part came from but the random factor was always good for giggles.

"But-- but my love--" Ammeryn had to pause and keep the cackle out of her voice. "You only drink wine. Wine isn't a liquor!" She had to duck her head to hide the smile on her face, and doubled it as a dramatic sigh. "I will give my all to keep you on the road to recovery! I will be the--" she frowned, then paused, pressing her finger to Raoul's lips to insure he didn't mess her up. She looked away, thinking.
"Drat. How did that song... dammit..." She hummed quickly through the first bit of the song's tune, then turned back to Raoul with all the vigor she had before. "You... you are... oh," she hummed a few more bars, then, "I will be the wind beneath your wings!"

Raoul bit the tip of her finger and smirked. He then removed her finger so he could speak. "I have wings?" he asked raising an eyebrow. He buried his face in his hands. "I don't know myself anymore!!"

Ammeryn bit her lip to keep from laughing. Then she fought to composed her expression and managed a, "Theoretical wings, my love! I am the theoretical wind beneath your theoretical wings!"

"Then we will fall into theoretical love and I will theoretically whisk you away to our theoretical land of dreams and LOOOOOO~VE!!!" Raoul's voice lost all inflection and went monotone every time he said "theoretical" and he sang the last word. He placed his arm around Amme's waist and smiled charmingly down at her. "Shall we?"

Aye had heard most of the theatrics going on just outside the library door-- in fact, most everyone in the library had heard. Aye approached the doorway, grinning, and stepped right up to the two...er... she didn't even know what to call them.
"Ah... You two. You're in front of the library, and as entertaining as this whole dramatic spiel is, I have to kindly request that you take it elsewhere." She smirked. "I do believe the theoretical land of dreams and love is--" she pointed down the hallway in the general direction of the dorms-- "that way."

Raoul smiled at Aye. "Oh how right you are," he said to her. "Come, my theoretical love," he smirked at Amme, "we must depart!! The minds of the people in our midst are too simple to understand our feelings."

Ammeryn had stopped trying to keep the grin off of her face. She beamed at Raoul and threw an arm around his shoulders. "Yes! So feeble are the hearts of those who would banish these two star-crossed lovers! Away we go!"

On a whim Raoul lifted Amme up and supported her weight on his hip and his arm. "And so we go," Raoul said as he tango stepped down the hall way, his face glowing with happy.
