((This is an RP between Zephyros and Jason. Notos (and Boreas) is welcome to join, otherwise please do not enter. It had been started in MSN so this is all of what happened previously.))
Zephyros waited impatiently at the airport. He knew what flight Jason was supposed to be on -He’d bought and sent him the ticket-, and it was late. Two minutes late, but LATE. He sighed, picking up a magazine and flipping through it idly. Huh, that model wasn’t too bad. Not as good at Jason, but fairly good . He put it back, looking up at the arrivals list. Ha! It was in! ...Now to wait a few minutes for them to disembark. Ugh, this was killing him!
Ireth says:
Jason exited the airplane slowly, tightly clutching the handle of his carry-on. The stairs to the ground were a little difficult to walk on with this many people trying to get off at once; he was glad he'd decided against wearing heels. He reached the main building, grabbed a trolley and scanned the conveyor belt for his luggage, then scrambled to retrieve it before it passed out of reach.
He arranged his bags on the trolley and turned it around, scanning the room for a glimpse of a familiar godlike face.
Kat-chan says:
Zephyros found him just as he was turning... from behind him. He came up behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist, resting his chin on Jason’s shoulder.
Ireth says:
Jason jumped a little as someone wrapped their arms around his waist; he immediately relaxed when he turned his head to look at who it was. Grinning, he twisted around in the blond boy's embrace and hugged him tightly back. "Happy to see me?"
Kat-chan says:
“You’re late,” he said, hugging him back. “I should have picked an earlier flight. I’ve been here for what felt like HOURS.”
From behind him, a young man... who HAD to be Zephyros’ sibling, snorted. His accent was much stronger than Zeph’s. “We have been here hours, Zeph. You couldn’t hold still and Mom and Dad kicked us out.”
Zephyros sneered a little, “Nothing said you had to come with me, Euros.”
“I have to keep you out of trouble,” Euros replied.
Ireth says:
Jason had to grin. "I take it this is your brother, Zeph? One of three, I'm told." He gave the other boy a friendly glance and a smile; Euros was quite as good-looking as his sibling.
Kat-chan says:
“This is Euros, the East Wind. His hair was blue when I left last year. Apparently our father made him grow it out,” Zephyros said, dislike barely concealed in his voice. “He insisted on coming with me.”
“You would have prevented any plane from landing in your anxiousness. And no one else seems willing to remind you to tone down the wind a bit,” Euros snorted. Somehow, it managed to be emotionless. “So, you’re the boy he can’t stop talking about.”
Ireth says:
Jason nodded, shifting a little at Euros' indifference. "Yeah... hi. I'm Jason." He held out a hand to Euros, wondering if this could get any more awkward.
Kat-chan says:
Euros shook his hand quickly, as if it were what was expected of him and no more. “Have everything?” he asked. Zephyros rolled his eyes.
“Euros... go wait in the car. We aren’t expected for a while and I haven’t seen Jason in a month,” he said, doing his absolute best to keep his tone sweet. Euros shrugged and left. Zephyros sighed in relief.
Ireth says:
Jason relaxed considerably once Euros was gone. "He seemed... not entirely friendly." It couldn't have been his appearance that had thrown Euros off--he had wisely opted against wearing a skirt and blouse as well as ditching the stilettos, opting instead for a comfy T-shirt, shorts and sandals.
Kat-chan says:
“He’s not... friendly, no. But he’s not... not friendly either. He’s... just not much of anything. And I don’t want to insult you.... but it’s a very good thing you didn’t wear your skirt today,” Zephyros sighed. “My parents are nervous enough about meeting you... I did warn you, right?” he asked, biting his lip.
Ireth says:
"Yeah, you did," Jason nodded, his own nervousness returning. "This is going to be interesting..."
Kat-chan says:
Zephyros flushed, "I'm going to apologize right now for anything my parents may do or say... And if they try to make you leave... throw Fleur in their face. I've told you enough about her. What more do you need than that she left me?" He hugged Jason again. "I guess I can't stall anymore..."
Ireth says:
"Yeah..." Jason snuggled quietly against Zephyros. "The sooner we get this started, the better." He pulled away slightly and laid one hand on the handle of his luggage trolley. "Well, you know where to go..."
Kat-chan says:
Zephyros nodded, helping him navigate the labyrinth of the airport, grumbling under his breath. "I swear, Daedalus designed this airport just after Minos' labyrinth."
Ireth says:
Jason caught the reference and grinned. "Good thing I have you to guide me, O Master of the West Wind."
Kat-chan says:
"Yeah... where'd I put that map," he grumbled, hunting through his pockets. "Right, there it is." He looked it over, and finally managed to get them out of the airport. A silver limo waited outside, with Euros leaning against the door.
"Took you long enough. Pep-talk?" the dispassionate teen asked. Zephyros just grunted and helped Jason get his luggage in the car before the driver could.
Ireth says:
Jason eyed the limo curiously, grinning and speaking under his breath to Zephyros as he hefted his bags into the car. "What'd you do, rob a bank?"
Kat-chan says:
"Something like that," he mumbled. "Don't mention that to my parents. There's rumors greatfather did. On my mother's side...." Euros just watched them, his blue eyes still blank of emotion. Zephyros glared at him, "You could HELP."
"And miss you fighting with the laws of physics?"
Ireth says:
Jason held his tongue, not wanting to get tangled up in a sibling rivalry. He pushed the smaller of his bags into the car and set his carry-on atop of it. "The fun part will be getting these back out again without breaking anything. Like toes."
Kat-chan says:
Zephyros grinned, "Or fingers. Or we can just let the servants get it. That IS why Father pays them," he pointed out, opening a door for Jason. He slid in next to him, leaning to whisper in his ear. "I even managed to get you a room in my side of the house."
Ireth says:
"Awww, that's sweet of you," Jason smiled, inclining his head toward Zephyros. "Thank you."
Kat-chan says:
Zephyros grinned, "It's totally selfish."
In the front seat, Euros gagged. Zephyros reached forward and smacked the back of his head and the driver looked over at him and said something in greek. Euros snickered and Zephyros replied in a tone that sounded very much like "yes sir."
Ireth says:
Jason sat quietly, not understanding the Greek being spoken around him. He wondered how Zeph's other brothers were going to react to this... He didn't even want to think about Zeph's parents yet.
Kat-chan says:
Zeph chuckled, "Sorry. He told me to stop it or he is going to turn us around and make me and Euros walk."
Ireth says:
Jason grinned. "Has that ever actually happened? You having to walk home?"
Kat-chan says:
"No. It happened to Euros once, though," he said, looking over at his brother with a smirk. Euros just looked forward, ignoring him. Zephyros couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his lips as he wrapped an arm behind Jason's head and played lightly with his hair.
Ireth says:
Jason laughed softly and snuggled close, enjoying the feeling of Zeph's hands in his hair. He gazed up into the younger boy's bright green eyes, watching Zeph's golden hair blow around his head in the soft breezes that seemed to follow Zeph wherever he went.
Kat-chan says:
Euros looked at him in the mirror, "Zeph, you aren't supposed to do that here."
Zeph blinked and the breezes settled, though Zeph's hair remained artfully windblown.
Ireth says:
Jason smiled and reached up to Zeph's head. "That's better... now I can play more easily," he laughed, running his fingers through Zeph's golden locks.
Kat-chan says:
Zephyros leaned his head on Jason's shoulder, smiling. Euros rolled his eyes and turned to look out the window. Finally, they reached... a dock. With a yacht large enough to just drive up to, which was exactly what happened.
Ireth says:
Jason sat up, looking out at the yacht floating out on the crystal-blue water. "Wow..."
Kat-chan says:
Zeph grinned and pulled him out to the rail. "Look... you can see the floor, here. See those? Sharks. And docile as a lamb," he smiled, leaning over and teasing one up with a piece of fish.
Ireth says:
Jason inched a little closer to Zephyros as the shark surfaced for the meal. "You sure they're safe?"
Kat-chan says:
The shark closed its teeth around the fish and sank back down. Zephyros showed him his fingers, grinning widely. "As long as you know what you're doing, yeah. Perfectly safe. Just... don't try it. There's only one way to heal here, and it's the hard way."
Ireth says:
Jason nodded, half-smiling nervously. "You don't have an Ellie here, I take it."
Kat-chan says:
"Nothing like. We DO have a physician on staff, but he's certainly no healer. My brothers and I are the only ones with magic, that we know of. After we started showing our talents, Father started looking for a magical healer, but we can't seem to find one with any training as a doctor, or any real skill at all. Ellie is extremely rare," he shrugged, looking at the water again. "But Doctor Herm is skilled at what he does."
Ireth says:
"That's good to know," Jason smiled. "So how long have you and your brothers known about your powers?"
Kat-chan says:
Zephyros shrugged, "Long enough. About... oh, eleven or so..." He put a hand around Jason's shoulders, looking out over the water. "See that?" he said, pointing out ahead of them. "That's our island."
Ireth says:
Jason followed Zeph's finger, grinning in excitement. "It's beautiful."
Kat-chan says:
Zephyros grinned, resting his head on Jason's. "Yeah... there's not anywhere much more beautiful, in the tropical wilderness anyway. Father collects art, too. Mother likes European tapestries... we have our own movie theatre," he grinned.
Ireth says:
"Sounds like you guys live like royalty," Jason laughed. "Definitely not the lifestyle I'm used to. This is going to be fun."
Kat-chan says:
"There are things that aren't fun either..." he sighed, looking down again. "Being locked up on an island with no one but servants, who don't want to talk or are afraid to, and your brothers, most of whom just find you irritating because you're the favorite... parents who coddle you and yet deny you everything you really want..."
Ireth says:
Jason bit his lip a little. "Yeah, I... can see how that would be frustrating."
Kat-chan says:
"Oh... and all green. My room is GREEN. And I can't repaint it."
Ireth says:
"I thought you liked green," Jason frowned in confusion.
Kat-chan says:
"...I don't mind green, but I feel like I live in a really ugly tree. I usually sleep on the balcony," he sighed. "My parents cannot decorate our rooms at all. They can get a designer for the rest of the house, but my room looks the same as it did when it was my NURSERY." he picked up another piece of meat and flicked it at the sharks, watching them chase after it. He threw enough for all of them not really wanting to start a feeding frenzy. The idea was to keep from getting too bored, not scare Jason.
Ireth says:
"I can see that getting boring," Jason nodded. "Why the strictness? Don't your parents want you to be free to express yourselves, do what you want, live a little?" He had asked the same about his own family more than once.
Kat-chan says:
"To protect us, I suppose," Zeph shrugged. "We're coming from the East. Look, it's still under construction," he chuckled. Euros raised a brow. Zeph grinned at him, "You helped me cause the damage. In fact, as I recall... it was mostly you."
Euros sniffed, then ignored his brother.
Ireth says:
Jason grinned as well. "Remind me not to tick any of you off, or I might not have a bedroom to sleep in," he joked.
Kat-chan says:
"I think they hurricane-proofed the house after that..." Zephyros said thoughtfully. "Didn't they, Euros?"
"Yes, they did."
Ireth says:
Jason laughed. "Good, I know I'll be safe inside then."
Kat-chan says:
"If the wind picks up... I would still head for the basement," Zeph said seriously. Then he smiled, "That's what our parents do. And all the servants."
Ireth says:
Jason nodded. "Smart thing to do. So how big is the place? Will I need a map or anything to find my way around?"
Kat-chan says:
"Big enough, and I'll have one for you. It's not that hard, though. The kitchen is centrally located, which is the most important room, right?" he grinned.
Kat-chan says:
Zeph sighed, leaning on the rail as the yacht reached the other dock. He glanced at the limo, then over at Jason. "So... would you like to walk? It's not that far."
Ireth says:
Jason nodded, his hand slipping into Zeph's. "Yeah, I'd love a walk. It'll give me more time to enjoy the scenery... not that I won't have a long time to do that while I'm here, but you know what I mean..."
Kat-chan says:
Zeph squeezed his hand back a little, smiling at him. Euros groaned, "Zeph... stalling."
"Hey, at least we're on the island... they aren't just looking for us."
Ireth says:
Jason ignored Euros, walking hand-in-hand with Zephyros. "So tell me about your parents... are they like the parents of the Winds in the Greek myths? That would be kind of cool."
Kat-chan says:
"Not entirely. My father has the greek name, mom is named Dawn... which is the meaning of Eos. But... Um... well, they don't really have any of the powers, and they have no myths, really..." he shrugged.
Ireth says:
Jason nodded. "I see. Are they mortals, then, or do they just have different powers than their namesakes?"
Kat-chan says:
"Mortals... no powers, no magic... nothing. Which is part of why we are constantly kept away..." Zephyros sighed a little. "Eos and Astraios didn't really... have powers, exactly, anyway. I mean, other than powers all gods had of transforming and curses and stuff."
Ireth says:
"Hmmm." Jason's face was pensive. "I get it. Is it strange to you, being mages born from mortals? Do you ever wonder if mage-born mages look at you differently, like pure-bloods and Muggle-borns in the Harry Potter books?"
Kat-chan says:
Zeph grinned, "Nah. Because in the Harry Potter books, mortals who are mage-born are rare. In this world, they are as common as mage-born mages. Besides, I can trash them magically and physically."
He hugged Jason, "Besides... do you ever wonder if werewolves born as such look down at those who were bitten?" He hugged Jason close, then pulled him off the yacht, asking the driver to make sure his luggage made it safely.
Ireth says:
"Good point," Jason smiled. "But all werewolves are the same to a lot of mortals out there... those who don't know a lot about us. I was the same way once. Until I was bitten, of course... then everything changed."
Kat-chan says:
"Seth wasn't bitten... and it's not like we grew up knowing about it until... well, until we started causing little storms," he grinned. He pulled him away still, hugging him. "A lot of mages don't know about magic until they have magic themselves..."
Ireth says:
Jason nodded. "Was it scary, realizing you had powers like that? I doubt it'd be as scary as suddenly waking up a vampire, or one day growing fur and scaring the crap out of your parents by jumping through a window."
Kat-chan says:
"It is when the first time you see magic is when your father is thrown across the room by no visible force," he pointed out. "Or when every window in the house breaks, all at once, when you are angry."
Ireth says:
Jason's eyes widened. "Was anyone hurt?"
Kat-chan says:
"I got cut on the forehead, Euros needed stitches... Father couldn't use his leg for a week because of the cuts he'd gotten. Suddenly having power can be just as frightening... oh, as suddenly have fangs of either sort."
Ireth says:
Jason nodded, his mind still full of visions of the sort of damage that had been done when technically no-one was at fault. "As you've pointed out so vividly."
Kat-chan says:
"No... vividly would be to knock that tree branch down to just miss hitting you," he said. "Or throwing Euros, who is following us."
Euros walked past them, as if he hadn't been just behind them for some time. Zephyros glared at him and snapped something. Euros just shrugged, nodding a little and Zephyros spat a curse.
Zephyros waited impatiently at the airport. He knew what flight Jason was supposed to be on -He’d bought and sent him the ticket-, and it was late. Two minutes late, but LATE. Ireth says:
Jason held his tongue, not wanting to get tangled up in a sibling rivalry. He pushed the smaller of his bags into the car and set his carry-on atop of it. "The fun part will be getting these back out again without breaking anything. Like toes."
