Alex smiled at Blaise and hopped off to sit beside him.
"You shouldn't complain so much about people being eager when you invite them over, you know."

Blaise grinned at Alex and leaned in closer to the other boy.
"I never said I was complaining," he said. "I'm perfectly content to have both of you in my bed." His voice was teasing, but with Blaise, it was nearly impossible to tell.

Alex leaned back against the backboard, slightly away from Blaise. He'd mostly wanted to get away from Angel, though this wasn't quite more than he could handle yet.
"Ah. It's hard to tell your tone of voice, you know; someone could get entirely the wrong idea."

Rhys snorted. "If you two keep going back there, get a room that isn't mine."
He had no idea what the goddamn hell effect what Alex had said was having on him, but this was almost fun now. Granted, he did like fucking with Blaise; it had been fun before so long as he was winning. That... just hadn't happened again since the day they'd met.

Rhys headed back to his room; if Reed didn't want to go, maybe... maybe he could at least see if the friendship thing held when they weren't in Paris. He did feel a lot better.
He knocked on the door, but didn't wait for an answer before entering.

Blaise lay sprawled out across his bed, dressed only in a pair of stark-white tennis shorts, his head resting on the bed in front of his laptop. He was only half-watching his instant messenger contacts; Crystal was never on this time of day, and he couldn't think of anyone else he actually felt like talking to. Instead, Blaise was listening idly to a Lady Gaga CD -- he'd only just realized that he'd had Poker Face on repeat for about half an hour -- and trying to think of something to do that didn't involve significant effort on his part.
He just barely heard the creak of the door over the pulsing beat of the music. Blaise turned over and stretched languidly, raising his arms high above his head, glancing up at his roommate.
"Hey, stranger. You were up early today." Blaise yawned and pulled himself upright, tugging his ear buds out of his ears and tossing them on the bed. Even so, the telltale beginning lyrics of the song could be heard from across the room.
"I don't usually care when someone decides to sneak out before sunrise, but I was kind of hoping for early morning cuddling today." Blaise shot Rhys a mischievous grin. "I'd even planned to make you breakfast. Which reminds me, how do you like your eggs -- raw, or burned to a crisp?" Blaise ran a hand idly through his hair.

Rhys winced at the lack of shirt. At the stretching, he facepalmed, covering his eyes with his hand.
"Turn that godawful racket off," he said with mild annoyance. "You wanna put on a shirt so we can actually get something to eat? I got a paper I need to finish early, and I'm gonna need to be coherent for that."

"Mm, don't remember shirts being necessary to eat," Blaise mused. "Or pants, for that matter." He closed the lid on his laptop, the music dying quickly, then hopped to his feet.

"Don't think I'm the only one that'd get annoyed if you just went around stark naked." A comment came to him, and he considered a moment before deciding it wouldn't be a terrible idea to say it. "You wanna try, though, I'd suggest waiting 'til tomorrow when classes start back, people'd appreciate the distraction from all this bullshit."
"And that way I can grab a blindfold first, and skip French." He smirked.

"Only if you do it with me." Blaise smirked back at him, fully aware of his own double entendre.
He dug a deep red button-up shirt out of his laundry and slipped it on, only bothering to button it up about two-thirds of the way. Which was really rather generous of him, considering -- normally Blaise wouldn't have bothered buttoning it at all.

He shrugged, catching that there probably was innuendo there, but not what it was. "I don't care if you skip French. Go ahead."
Rhys dropped his hand, then decidedly did not look at Blaise. "So when is this going to get boring for you, by the way?"

"Well, let's see." Blaise leaned against the dresser and looked up thoughtfully, his fingers tapping idly on the wood. "It took me about three and a half months to get you to make out with me when drunk. At this rate, I have a feeling we'll be in college before I manage to get you naked. I...could probably hold out til then."
Blaise frowned slightly, his voice becoming more serious. "Or...do you mean something else?"

One of Rhys' eyebrows rose slightly.
"What else is there I could mean? I already asked you this question on the plane, and you didn't know what I meant then. Am I not speakin' enough English you can understand me?"
He leaned on the doorframe, waiting for Blaise so they could go and eat.

Blaise sighed and rolled his eyes. "Alright, let me put this to you as simply as I can." Blaise leaned in and braced himself against the door frame only inches away from Rhys, his smile not quite predatory. "I won't get bored as long as you keep making it interesting for me. And so far, you've done a pretty good job of that."

Rhys turned slightly and looked Blaise in the eye.
"There's a point," he said neutrally, "after which it's really hard to bother getting all worked up about something. It's only lasted this long because I thought you were just an unrepentant jackass I had to deal with."
He walked out of the doorway and a few steps down the hall, still looking at Blaise. "I'd hate to start kinda likin' ya and it dyin' there because I get bored and you wander away findin' someone who really isn't gay to torment."

The last bit didn't go unnoticed by Blaise, and he cracked a wide grin. "Is that so?" he teased. "And here you had me convinced you weren't gay." Blaise smirked and ran a hand smoothly through his hair.
"Of course, if you're really worried about me wandering, you could always tie me up." Blaise batted his eyelashes at Rhys as coyly as he could manage.

"Fuck should I know? Maybe I'm bi. Maybe I have a fetish for French accents, or there's some sort of instinct thing about a guy I can bite without cursing them that makes me want to fuck you senseless. Maybe I'm a fuckin' half-space-alien and I'm gonna lay eggs in your ear one night. You should worry about that," he growled.
He sighed, and his eyes rolled up into his head. "Do not tell me this is gonna start goin' into weird shit now. If you've got some sort of thing for dressing up as a naughty schoolgirl I don't think I wanna know."

"Sorry, I'm not sure I caught all of that. What was that part your biting fetish and, what was it you said..." Blaise gave Rhys a wolfish grin and slid closer to Rhys. "Something about 'makes me want to fuck you senseless'?"

Rhys watched Blaise for a moment.
"You may be fine holding out until college; at this rate, though? I'll probably get bored of you before the semester ends. I was gonna apologize, but I'm not sure anymore you have the brains to care."

Blaise clenched his teeth and grabbed Rhys by the arm, throwing the other boy back against the wall. Blaise braced one arm on either side of Rhys' head, not quite touching him.
"And what the hell is that supposed to mean?" he snapped. "Look, I don't know why I'm this interested in you, but I am. I'm damn near obsessed with you. I went out with Alex in some attempt to prove to myself that I didn't actually care that much, but all I could think about -- at least when I wasn't terrified a skeleton was going to jump out of the ground and eat me if I so much as breathed wrong -- was that, I swear to god, the two of you have the same damn nose."
Blaise's hands clenched against the stone wall, and he took a few deep breaths. "And you know what? I find you ridiculously attractive for reasons even I don't understand. Even that obnoxious fucking accent of yours is sexy, especially when you get angry." Blaise gave a bitter smile. "Seriously, you growl. Like some kind of god damn animal."

Rhys flinched and shoved Blaise as hard as he could away from him, jogging backwards out of the way.
"What?" He processed that slowly. Every single time... "Every- look, you just-" That was a really weird thing to say. The skeleton thing, he figured that was just a reference he didn't get, but the thing about Alex...
He stood there, not wanting to move one way or the other. His stomach was doing weird shit again, though it made a little more sense this time. (That may have been good or bad.)
"I... when you..." He looked Blaise in the eye again. "You act like a sorority girl sometimes. And that... it kind of pisses me off. I know, after last week, there's more to you than that, okay? And when you do shit like that, it's- I mean-" He waved his hand.
"I think... when you actually act like a human being, like... somebody with a personality and- like there's a point to you," he continued after a moment, "you're actually, I think..." He shrugged hard. "But when you just keep acting like a little boy tugging a girl's pigtails like you think that's all you need to do to get her to notice you, you really just make me want to ignore you completely. And you're not exactly on thick ice here t'begin with."
He couldn't help but smirk at the last bit. "And for the record, I am a god damn animal."

Blaise snorted and leaned back against the wall. "I'll try to keep that in mind," he replied, flicking a strand of hair from his eyes.
"And as far as the schoolgirl thing goes, you don't have to worry about that. Six years of Catholic school would ruin that for anyone." Blaise smiled crookedly at Rhys. "I have a feeling if I ever did try, my old schoolmistress would show up and beat me with a meter stick." He winced slightly. "I have a healthy fear of nuns."

Rhys let out a breath and relaxed a little. Maybe that got through? He had a feeling he and Blaise had been talking past each other for a while now.
"So... wait, you're Catholic?" He raised an eyebrow. "Or did you just go to school there?"
"And... what the hell were you saying about Alex?"

"Technically, at any rate. My mom is. We really only go to Mass on holidays." Blaise grinned. "My mom stopped taking me to Sunday service when I kept making up random things in the confessional. Apparently it's a sin to lie to a clergyman."
Blaise chose not to make a reply to the bit about Alex at the moment.

"Heh." Rhys grinned back. "That's something else we got in common, then. I ain't done anything religious since my grandparents made me do a bar mitzvah."
He shrugged again. "Y'wanna go eat, or is there like more drama we need to do or somethin'?"
