The various Duneheldeners are gathered up bright and early and driven out to the docks. There will be a day-long ferry tour of several islands before they arrive in Athens sometime between 7 and 9 pm.
There will be a late brunch on Lesbos, and time for snacks in the afternoon. Dinner will be a group event in Athens- formal dress recommended- followed by driving back to the hotel to sleep.
Line up, bitches, we're going on a boat : V

Natsu was worried, it wasn't so much about the water . . . more of the depth of the water. She liked, streams and ponds and small lakes . . . but she was small and didn't know how to swim.
She stood on the dock about to step onto the ferry, her hands in fists, her eyes peering over her knuckles. "D-Dou-chan?" Natsu mumbled, "w-will you help me?"

Doucan came up behind the smaller and picked her up with one arm about her waist, tossing her over her shoulder like a towel.
"Holding up the line," she muttered, not unkindly, carrying her onto the ferry.

Natsu contorted her body as much as her joints would allow to attach herself to Doucan, to prevent from falling off Doucan's shoulder and into the water.
Once on the boat she released her grip . . . only a little bit and whispered, "T-thank you, Dou-chan. W-will you stay with me? You know I don't like deep water."

Jaebi came onto the boat next. He had been feeling rather playful that day-- currently his massive DJ headphones hung around his neck, blasting music for all to hear. And by music, it is meant specifically to be The Lonely Island's "I'm on a Boat."
Jaebi didn't walk across the plank (or whatever it was called.) Instead, he danced across it. Moonwalk, moonwalk, pop, lock, forward moonwalk, tut, tut, tut, moonwalk, and he was on the ferry. Trying really hard not to sing along. He bounced on the balls of his feet and did some more tutting, grinning and chewing on his lower lip.

Natsu looked over at Jaebi from her hunched over position on Doucan's shoulder. She smiled, happy that someone was having fun. "Jaebi," she called to him, "Why are you dancing?"

Jaebi grinned and popped his knuckles as the song ended.
" 's a good song," he explained. "And it fit the situation, didn't it? I--" He paused, hearing the beginning of the next song.
Baby~ Negae banhae beorin naegae wae irae~
Jaebi hummed along with the song and fought back a laugh. So, his iPod wanted him to dance to Ring Ding Dong. Alrighty.

"OOOOOOO!!!" Natsu exclaimed when she heard the song. "Dou-chan, lemme down!" She excitedly stood next to Jaebi and started to dance.

Post by Hitoshi Gilespi on Jul 25, 2010 19:51:35 GMT -5
Hitoshi raised an eyebrow at the spectacle off the side of the ferry, then ducked around the group of dancing students and made his way toward one of the boxes in the ferry. That was high school, he supposed.
Hitoshi ducked into one of the boxes and slid against the side of the boat. It was ridiculously hot, and humid, and Hitoshi felt just a tiny bit like he was going to die. It really made him miss those snowy Ohio winters.

Alex tromped in behind Hitoshi and slid into the seat beside him.
"I really see no good reason why they can't just have wifi on these things," he said irritably, folding his hands in his lap. "I know there are ferrylines that have it, and it would make getting up before breakfast a little closer to worth it. Though I suppose they'd make it pay."
He leaned against Hitoshi, making himself comfortable. "Mmmh. Stupid wavey boat."

Valérian, made up as he had been the first day arriving so that he didn’t glow, stood on his toes to look over the crowd of students. Seeing as literally every single person here was at least a little taller than him, even the one who was legally the same height, it was a little hard for him to keep track of the people he was supposed to be in charge of. Miss Kairavi was easy enough to spot, with her long white hair, and Mister Volkova was with her. …Well, that made it easy. He watched her chivvy Zephyros Aetai onto the ferry, then made his own way on. Hopefully he’d be able to stay mostly inside and not have to worry about the light hitting him wrong or something.

Aritha practically dragged Zephyros onto the ferry, not much behind Hitoshi and Alex. Being unable to use the strength she’d grown accustomed to during the past few months in the eternal twilight of Dunehelden, she’s managed to sweet talk Rudeth into helping her if Zeph was too obstinate. He wasn’t fighting much however, at least physically, because Aritha had a pretty firm hold on his ear.
“I am sick and tired of your sulking, Zephyros, and you can stop trying to get away, because you are not going to make Miss E go hunting for you. You’re being childish. You needed to get out of that castle, and everyone who knows you agrees, including Jason. So just stop it.”

Zephyros flailed and pulled his ear free of Aritha’s grip, rubbing it. He stuck his tongue out at her spitefully and quickly skipped out of her and Rudeth’s reach. “I didn’t need to get out of the castle, you all just decided to make me miserable.”
He quickly moved as far from both of them as he could, while very carefully skirting and avoiding Hitoshi and Alex as well. He’d dealt with the two of them as much as he cared to for the rest of his life, seeing as Hitoshi seemed to hate his guts.
Not that that was an uncommon thing in this school. Apparently trying to kill yourself was the best way ever to make enemies of people who hadn’t even known your name before. Leaning on the railing of the ferry and looking down into the water, Zephyros just sighed slightly and put his chin on his crossed arms. He just wanted to go back to Dunehelden, or maybe go home. Not that he really enjoyed his parents or being locked up on an island with Euros and Boreas. But… well, no it probably wouldn’t be better. After all, his family was probably the most furious at him. Flicking a piece of loose paint into the water, he just stared at it and tried his best to give an aura of ‘leave me alone’.

"Mm." Hitoshi's lips turned up in a faint smile. "At least this way I have your full attention. I'm not sure how I'd feel about you paying more attention to your laptop than to me."
Hitoshi wrapped his arm rather loosely around Alex, though having Alex on top of him wasn't doing anything to relieve him from the heat. Still, he could...probably manage, given. And in a few hours, they'd make it to one of the smaller islands, and he could probably drag Alex off to go look at the sites. At worst, they might have to deal with Professor Yogo hovering somewhere nearby, rather than half the school.

Alex nuzzled into Hitoshi's shoulder. He noticed the boy was sweating and dragged a little bit of heat away from him and out into the air, causing an effect like a cold, stiff breeze blowing over the two of them (and a few nearby students).
He shivered and cuddled closer, then razzed Hitoshi.

Post by Rudeth Volkova on Jul 25, 2010 22:12:22 GMT -5
Rudeth had been more than happy to help drag Zephyros along toward the ferry, considering. Aside from the fact that it wouldn't have done anyone any good to abandon him at the hotel, Rudeth really did want to try to befriend Zephyros. Zephyros just...didn't exactly make that easy. Especially with all the moping. If two days away from his boyfriend was causing him that much distress, he was either being a drama queen or needed to get away much more than Rudeth thought.
When they got reasonably close to the boat, Rudeth finally released the other boy and let him run off to the boat. As much as he wanted to try and beat the angst out of him -- which, admittedly, was much less likely to work on Zephyros than it would have on Thrall -- Rudeth had no intention of spending his entire vacation trying to force Zephyros to act like a normal human being.
Rudeth glanced back at Aritha and raised an eyebrow. "So he seems like he's in a good mood this morning," he mused dryly.

Aritha made a rude noise. "He's being the brat only he knows how to do. No one can sulk like a spoiled rich boy. Zeph didn't used to be this bad. I'm not sure what happened. But I do know, and Jason agrees, that he is entirely too attached."
She looked at Zephyros and then sighed, rubbing her face. "I just wish I understood why. It's not like he should feel lonely or something, to have latched onto Jason so much."
Shaking her head, Aritha turned back to Rudeth and shrugged. "Oh well, at least he's here. Thank you very much for helping. I didn't really realize how much stronger than me he was in the day," she grinned with embarrassment.

"No problem. I'm sure he'll come around if you just give him some time." Rudeth grinned slightly. "If nothing else, he'll probably get bored of sulking soon."
Rudeth found a seat not too far from Prof. Mervielle-Dion and pulled Aritha close to him, running his hand lightly through her hair. He smiled. "You know, we need to do something when we get to Athens. We should go somewhere."

Euros headed onto the boat, intending to find either his brother or Kemekin and take the seat beside them, when he heard a wonderful beat and saw one of the other attractive Asian men dancing.
He came up behind Jaebi and twirled around towards his front, dancing with him. "What is that song?"

Aritha leaned against him happily, nodding. "Yes, we should. But... I have to tell you I've never actually been IN Athens, so... I don't know anywhere to go."
She grinned up at him, shrugging slightly. "Which means if we get lost, we're actually lost."

"The song is called 'Ring Ding Dong'," Natsu explained to Euros with a smile, "Dou-chan likes to play it on her ipod too." Natsu giggled happily. She was glad that she had come on this trip. She was meeting all kinds of new people that she probably would not have come into contact with otherwise.

Aritha just grinned at him, though she was careful that only he could see her smile. After all, explaining those fangs might be a little difficult. "I bet we could totally find a place. They'd had to have a teen club; that's what teens tend to do around here at night. Well, that and sneak to see the parts of the carnival their parents don't want them seeing."
She grinned again and leaned her head against Rudeth's arm. "Like... me, for instance."

Ariel heard the music from a fair distance away, and danced her way onto the ferry ahead of her father and future stepmother, heading in a fairly straight line toward where Jaebi was dancing. She couldn't help but grin, humming along to the melody as her body moved to the beat. She tried to catch Jaebi's eye, waving at him in greeting.

Hitomi laughed and paused at the plank, waiting for a moment as Jaebi finally danced himself out of the way. She didn't want to risk knocking him into the water. She didn't recognize the song blaring out of Jaebi's headphones, but it was damn catchy.
She grinned over at Ariel. "You guys want to sit with me and Jaymie on the ferry?"
