Frog latched tighter onto her hands. "But you just got here," he replied quickly, beginning to tear up. "You can't leave yet. Won't you please stay just a bit longer?"
Frog leaned down and peered up at her face, attempting to make eye contact with her. If she would only look him in the eye...

Ellie winced at the new pressure on her bruised hands. "But... I'll come back, I promise," she insisted, glancing back at Frog.

Angel noticed her wince; he hadn't realized those were injuries. He ran a finger lightly down her arm.
"We could at least help you with these before you go?"

Ellie looked down at her arms and opened her mouth to respond, though no sound came for a few moments. Finally she managed to say, "Those were darker a few minutes ago..."

"Oh, hey, great idea."
Angel tugged at the space right above her bruises and made a few gestures and a flourish; a soft wave of darkness covered Ellie, then disappeared.
Leaving her slightly different.

Ellie blinked a few times, confused with what had just happened at first. Then she was just blinking because something strange was affecting her vision. It was not that things had gone blurry-- no, everything was as clear as ever. The lighting, however, was altered. It was as if she were emitting her own light. Or her hair was, at least. Red, blue, green, white, and back again, with different ringlets flashing through the color cycle at different speeds.
Ellie, astonished, shook her hair out and was surprised to find that the texture was the same.
"What did... you do?" she asked, suddenly thinking that this was terribly similar to what had been happening to her in that other place, from whence she had just gotten free. She pulled on a single curl, stretching it down past her eyes. It seemed to be frozen on a red illumination. She let the curl go and it sprang back.

Frog peered at Ellie, watching as the dark ringlets began to light up like lights on a Christmas tree. He tilted his head, pulling on one of her curls.
"Now your hair is even prettier," he declared happily.

Angel crossed his arms and stared at Ellie.
"Hmm. It wasn't supposed to do that, but if Frog likes it, I guess it'll stay."

Frog hummed slightly, running his fingers through Ellie's slightly frizzed curls. "Wouldn't they look lovely if we braided them?" he cooed. "I think I'm going to try."

Despite Frog and Angel's assurances that she would not be hurt, she shrank away from Frog's hands, her arms folding themselves across her middle.
"I would prefer if you didn't," she half-whispered, her fear spiking to levels she couldn't comprehend for reasons she didn't understand.

Frog paused, tilting his head slightly at her. "But we're friends now," he replied, his eyes wide in confusion. "Don't friends play with each other's hair?"
He pouted and crossed his arms over his chest. "Besides, Angel got a turn to play with it," he countered. "You're not being fair."

Ellie shook her head, multicolored ringlets flying about her face with the vigorous movement.
"No," she chided, her voice suddenly stern, "You're not being fair. I want to leave, and neither of you are letting me. Neither of you are being good friends." She whipped around and took two strides towards the door, grabbing the handle and giving it a turn.

Frog blinked at her, his lower lip trembling. "But you don't want to leave," he replied stubbornly. "If you leave, I have to have something of yours to make sure you'll come back."
The blond boy reached out, his fingers slipping through Ellie's ringlets. "You have to give me a lock of your hair," he cooed. "Please?" Frog gazed up at her, his blue eyes wide and shining.

"...give me a lock of your hair..."
Ellie yanked the door open and took a single step out into the corridor, her eyes locked on Frog. Memories swam to the forefront of her mind, and her hands shook where they hung at her sides.
"Give us a lock of your hair," she head heard, followed by a yank and a pain just above her ear. Give us a lock of your hair, before being surrounded by buzzing lights and doused in something that was cold and clear but had no substance. Give us a lock of your hair, before being thrown back into darkness.
Tears sprang into her eyes. Her breath game in shallow, short bursts, and she turned on her heel. Her hair flew over her shoulders as she fled, away from Frog and Angel, away from the odd memories that kept assaulting her senses, away from the cold that was creeping across her skin.

(Post-Winter-Waltz)
Angel slipped back to the dorms ahead of Frog and kicked quite a bit of garbage out into the hall to make a space. Hopefully, this would work; he hadn't wanted to ask Rhythan to make it, and he wasn't entirely sure if his skills were up to it.
He extended his hands, concentrated a moment, and pulled hard enough to make the whole section of the castle shiver slightly, as if shocked out of sleep.
...Good enough. It was him as he was tonight, rather than the pretty picture he'd saved post-ravishing, but that just meant they could invite guests over if Frog decided not to eat it all as quickly as it could fit in his stomach.

Frog hopped into the room behind Angel, flinging his shoes off across the room. He leaped forward onto Angel's back, wrapping his arms around Angel's neck. He nuzzled against Angel a bit, happy to have Angel all to himself again particularly after that little incident at the dance.
Suddenly, a heavenly sort of aroma hit him, and Frog's eyes went wide. He let out a high-pitched squeal and launched himself toward the life-sized chocolate replica of himself.

Angel laughed and nuzzled Frog, then laughed again when he launched himself at the statue.
"Merry Solstice, snake. Aren't the holidays around here fantastic?" He grinned. "And for three weeks we have the school mostly to ourselves."

Frog grabbed a chunk of the chocolate the size of his fist and shoved it in his mouth, getting a good portion of it on his face instead, possibly from misjudging the size of his own mouth.
He grinned, tackling Angel and wrapping various limbs around him. His mouth was too full to speak, but he made several pleased-sounding noises that might have been words, had there not been a mess of cake in the way.

"Hey! You're getting chocolate all over me!" Angel grinned and kissed Frog anyway, getting more chocolate on his face. "Swallow, then talk."

Frog grinned and wiped his face on the frilly sleeve of his dress. "S'ry, 'm tr'ing," he replied, still somewhat muffled with cake.
He nuzzled Angel's neck gently. "So does this mean I'll get to see you more?" Frog teased. "It gets really boring without you."

"Your dress will get ruined like that..." he teased. He vaguely wondered where Frog had even gotten it. "Yes. Yes it does. I'm having some fun on the Solstice proper, but you can come with me for that. And I'll spend every day with you, if you want."

Frog nipped at Angel's earlobe. "Don't care about the dress," he replied. "Don't like it that much, anyway..."
Frog continued planting kisses on various parts of Angel. "So what are we doing on the solstice?" he asked between kisses. "I think I'll be happy to have you all to myself for a while."

"Mmf. You certainly don't seem to enjoy wearing it that much." Angel tugged Frog's little half-bonnet off and began working on the ribbons.
"We are..." tug, "making the first attempt at-" lick, "trying to claim this spot. It probably won't work-" kiss, "but I want to see what happens, since there's gonna be a skeleton crew here anyway."

Frog made soft mewling sounds, running his hands under Angel's shirt. "I was going to give you a present," he murmured, mock-pouting, "but you already started unwrapping it. You ruined the surprise." He nipped at Angel's jawline.

"...Y' c-n still surprise me." Angel abruptly stopped attempting to rip bits off from the neck with oversharp teeth. "I'm not quite sure..."
