Alex blinked at the boy standing over him. He was completely calm. And he didn't quite- there was a feeling on the edge of Alex's consciousness, sort of peeking out from behind the fear, that said that Hitoshi was a person to be noticed. Without anything else resembling a clue, he stood slowly, keeping his eyes on Hitoshi the whole way.
"You're not scared," he said warily. "What's going on?"

Hitoshi glanced over his shoulder at Rudy and Thrall. "Idiocy, to be frank. I'd prefer not to be a part of it. The entirety of the situation is something I don't feel like wasting the time to understand, but the short version is those two are my cousins and things like this seem to happen a great deal with them."
He sighed. "Right now my priority is determining where I'm going to be staying during the time it takes to rebuild my room." As if expecting an answer, he turned slightly to face the Headmaster.

Veronique paused, considering the situation. And, as if suddenly struck by a bolt of lightning some would call intuition - or, in this case The Plot Gods - she grinned so wickedly that even Yao would be a little put-off. "Alex's roommate was Lhachlhass, but given the current situation, I believe it would be best to move him into a room by himself where he can be watched closely."
Her eyes sparkled wickedly, and at once it was evident that this was somehow relevant to Hitoshi's problem. "So, while mages aren't typically roomed outside of the mage wing, since Rivienne is the head of the mortals wing and so many of his family members are currently in this area, perhaps it would be a good idea to have Hitoshi fill Lhachlhass's room until the construction is done. In this way none of the current rooming assignments will be altered."

This entire thing is about dorm rooms and people getting into relatively nonfatal amounts of trouble.
Alex sighed and folded his arms across his chest. It seemed that this was not going to make any more sense anytime soon.

Alex...? Hitoshi glanced to the boy. "You're Alex, then?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "If you're really interested in hearing about the situation, I can explain the few coherent parts to you if you'll help me move my things from downstairs."

Alex nodded. "Uhm, all right. I can do that."
"You're Hitoshi, then? Nice to meet you..."

Yaodensi looks at his sons "I feel I need a full explanation of the occurrences that have transpired." with a few short gestures he casts a truth spell on the two of them.
"Now which of you would like to start?" still very much disgruntled about his failed spell and burnt hair.

Yuuki having been excused and seeing that Rudeth isn't hurt figures she should go back to her room to lament the loss of her new clothes thinking as she goes "Those were BRAND new too I was really hoping to show them to Rudeth. I thought he would like them."

Rudy paused for a moment. He would have to be careful with this. He knew one wrong word and it would blow the entire thing. Truthful and diplomatic. And hope Thrall keeps his mouth closed.
"Thrall and I were unpacking, then the crazy redheaded kid jumped in through my window and started harassing me about an ice cream truck," he replied calmly and slowly. "I asked him about it, he started going berserk, and...I yelled at him, Yuuki jumped in, and then Gussu jumped through the wall."
Just vague enough that maybe he'd be okay this time.
Damn it, Thrall, he tried to send telepathically, if you're careful we can pawn this whole thing off on that schizo freshman!

Yao looks at Rudeth very skeptically then looks over at Thrall "Is that what happened in its entirety?" tapping his foot lightly on the floor.

Thrall tried to reign in his annoyance and grumbled.
"I was grabbing stuff to move in here. When I came in, Rudy was yelling at the redheaded kid. We had a nice conversation about an ice cream truck, then there was more yelling on Rudy's part, followed by werewolves, at which point he left to go find the Headmaster and I followed him."
He looked straight at his father as he spoke, trying to convey his honesty. "We had nothing to do with the wall."

Yaodensi raises an eye brow "And, why was there screaming over the ice cream truck? You needn't worry about the young man who burst through the wall he will soon regret his comment. I know you are not directly at fault though the yelling I am assuming is the indirect cause. It seems to me that there is something else that was discussed. Might I add if you are not completely truthful with me I will know AND your allowances might be influenced."

Rudy thinks for a moment. "Just some stuff about the ice cream truck and faeries..." he mutters. "I think that kid is deranged. He thinks he's some sort of a faerie prince. I don't know what Hitoshi did, but he scared that kid witless. He just showed him a letter opener and the kid freaked out."

Yaodensi takes off his glasses and closes his eyes rubbing the bridge of his nose. He then looks up at the two boys "I have still not heard WHY there was yelling. Which is the cause of the mess of hair you see before you now, and likely the cause of the wall as well. I was in the middle of some very delicate spell casting and a momentary distraction caused it to go awry. SO, I want one of you to tell me what was all of the commotion about."

Rudy paused. He honestly couldn't remember exactly what Lhachlhass had done, apart from just being annoying. "...He was being an idiot."

Yaodensi taps his foot on the floor looking cross "What do you think is appropriate about yelling at someone for no particular reason?"
He sighs softly "I suppose something must be done about you two. I would have thought by now you would have grown up a little. But, if you are going to act childish I suppose I should continue to treat you as children. I was hoping to give you each something this year but. . ." Yao then shakes his head.

Thrall looked at his brother, his self-righteousness fading. Crap- Rudy might actually be in trouble for something. He fought the urge to take the blame; it wasn't a very strong urge, but it kind of caught him by surprise.
"Uh," he said slowly, "I... but I dunno, I was trying to be nice to the new kid. Maybe that was the problem. Heh." He felt embarassed, but that was the sort of logic running through his head, and the only thing he could think to say.

Rudy takes a deep breath. "Dad, Thrall isn't to blame. Not that I really think it was really my fault - honestly, I think about three-fourths of the blame falls on the crazy little kid that jumped through the window. But...it's slightly more my fault than Thrall's. He was too busy trying to unpack his things before me to worry about the kid."

Thrall rubbed the back of his neck. "Given how shortly this day has gone to h- uh, the dogs, I'm guessing our allowance is cut and we're gonna be restricted for a while."

Rudy paused, glancing from his father to his mother.
...on second thought, Dad was probably safer.
"We're really, really sorry..." he murmured, not quite sure what else to say.

Rivienne fumed for a moment, taking a deep breath. "Well, I'm certainly going to keep an eye on Lhachlhass from now on. As for the two of you..." Rivienne gestured to her sons. "I would think the two of you would at least have the maturity not to pick fights with the mentally unsound. Lhachlhass' delusions do not excuse your behavior, and if I had it my way, I'd lock the two of you up somewhere for the next ten years of your life until you start to grow a little maturity. Of course, since that's not possible..."
She paused for a moment, trying to think of the worst possible punishment she could inflict upon them. "During your probation, you will have to spend a minimum of three hours a day working for Headmaster Veronique doing whatever chores she sees fit to give you. No exceptions. And if I hear a peep of complaint from either of you, I'm adding an hour per day to your sentence. Understood?"

Thrall's eyes widen. He learned long ago that when mom says not to complain, it would be safer to let fire ants run up your pants legs than to say anything, but his expression clearly speaks of aww, fuck.
