Kazari blinked a few times, surprised to see Istvan. She pointed upwards. "This Kazari does not know." She blew her hair out of her face. "Through a door, she walked, and away went the floor." She frowned. "Where she is, this Kazari wonders."

Istvan gave a soft laugh. "I wish I could tell you. I'm not quite sure, myself. It is interesting up here, though. Lots of old magic, and strange things to look at. You're welcome to join us if you want." He hoped she would; he would feel much more comfortable having someone he actually knew here to talk to.
He led her into the library and returned to where Alex and Hitoshi were standing, and looked down at the book Hitoshi was examining. It was very old, quite pretty, and definitely interesting. A promising start to a strange adventure of sorts.

Kazari followed with every intention of staying with them. She was all for exploring on her own, but after that fall she was going to plan on being cautious.
Upon entering the library, Kazari paused and watched the three males. The heavy smell of dust made her nose twitch.

Alex dashed out of the library when he heard the crash, and saw Istvan and Kazari walking towards him.
"What in the world...?" He sighed heavily. More people? At least Kazari he knew. He hoped there wasn't some sort of strange magical thing they'd tripped or something. He walked back over to Hitoshi and looked over the papers; there were a lot of notes, some written in English, others in strange little writing that might have been a form of shorthand.
The book Hitoshi was holding seemed to be a personal journal of experimentation in necromantic theory; most of the others laying out were about the fae, though there were a couple of books on prophecy and a very large one in Latin laying in a chair, with many notes stuck into it: De Lycaonis Gentibus.

Hitoshi jolted slightly at the commotion. He glanced up at the door, wrapping his arms protectively around the book. "What the hell?" he muttered. Where were all these people coming from?
He recognized the girl -- Kazari was her name, if memory served. She shared her tea with himself and Alex the previous semester. He gritted his teeth. Two more people showing up was suspicious enough; he sincerely hoped there wouldn't be a third person wandering out of a closet or tumbling down from the rafters. If half of the school happened to follow them up here, one of the professors was certain to notice.
He heard the sudden sound of rustling papers behind him, making the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. He turned sharply over his shoulder. Several papers fluttered down from one of the shelves. It was likely jostled by Kazari, he told himself. It was nothing to worry about.

"This is interesting." He scanned the titles on the shelves- this one seemed to be history. "I wonder why all these were kept up here instead of taken down somewhere."
He jumped at the sound of falling paper and went over to investigate. On one of the top shelves, squeezed between a book on the War of the Roses and a book on the Milesians, an old Bible had fallen over and scattered several old, yellowing pieces of notepaper out of it. Gingerly, he touched one, then picked them up; they didn't seem to have been old enough to be brittle. He brought them back over and sat down in a chair to look at them.
"These are weird." One of them looked vaguely like some kind of biology diagram, but more arcane. Another page looked similar, but architectural, and the third was... just bizarre.

Istvan walked over to where Alex was now sitting, unobtrusively looking at the papers over the boy's shoulder. He was right... they were weird, and looked quite old. A biology diagram, some kind of architectural blueprint, maybe, and... what on earth was that?
"What is that?" he found himself asking out loud, without entirely meaning to.

Alex looked back at Istvan. "I have no idea."
It looked a little like both of the other drawings, full of circles and things pointing at other things and little sketched notes that didn't seem to make any sense.
