"I wouldn't worry about that. If I know my sister, she's not going to leave without us, even if that means forcibly dragging us from the hotel room." He took a few more bites of his omelet, then set it aside on the bed. He smirked. "Who knows, maybe we'll manage to move past the 'awkward' part by prom."

"Mm, true." Alex looked up at the ceiling before digging his sunscreen out of his backpack. "She did make me promise to try to get you to come even if I didn't get you to forgive me. Oh, and that 'Thrall says if you don't fix things with 'Toshi, he's going to hunt you down and make sure you never, ever get laid'," he mimicked.
"Is that an invitation? I didn't know they did freshman and sophomore prom here."

Alex repeated Hitomi's words in perfect cadence, and Hitoshi snorted. "That does sound like something Thrall would say, doesn't it?" He shifted to sit beside Alex and crossed his legs on the bed.
"It's an open prom, but it's still strictly formal. There really aren't enough students to limit it to the upperclassmen." He grimaced. "Unfortunately the headmistress's inane dress code still applies, which is admittedly a bit more problematic for formal events. I suppose that makes it my turn." He smirked. "If you want to go with me, that is. Since you're not going with Blaise."

Alex smiled and squirted out a handful of thick sunscreen to start applying it to his face and ears.
"Up to you. I doubt you want to be seen in a dress any more than I do; I'd love to go with you, though."

He shrugged. "Like I said, it's my turn. I'm sure I can find some way to make it look dignified."
He pressed his lips together and watched Alex for a moment. "Do you need any help?"

"Uhm." He considered how to answer Hitoshi. It would be nice, but... oh, why the hell not.
"If you really don't mind, there is my back- and you might be able to get my neck without my hair getting all messy?"

Hitoshi nodded and shifted around to sit behind Alex, almost touching. "I think I can do that. You-- um." Hitoshi blushed slightly and tugged at the hem of Alex's shirt. "Do you mind?"

Alex rubbed most of the lotion off one hand, then reached behind himself and tugged the shirt over his head. After a little bit of struggling, he managed to get it off the other arm.
"I'll have to change in a bit, too. I forgot we were going to go swimming."

Hitoshi pushed Alex's dreadlocks mostly over one shoulder to give himself better access, then squeezed out a dollop of sunscreen onto his hand and began massaging it into Alex's shoulders. He hadn't quite noticed just how pale Alex was until now. He wondered just how he managed living in California so long.
His thumbs rubbed in small circles between Alex's shoulder-blades, taking in the soft feel of Alex's skin, and he realized rather abruptly that he'd run out of sunscreen a while ago. Hitoshi blushed darker and reached for the sunscreen again. This was...likely not the wisest decision he'd made today.

"Mmf." Alex blushed a little, thankful Hitoshi couldn't see his face, and tried not to lean back too far. It... had been a while since he'd done much more than smile at Hitoshi, yesterday's weirdness aside.
He took the sunscreen when Hitoshi was done with it and started doing his arms.
...Stupid teenage drama, stupid hormones, stupid teenage everything. He felt really silly for promising himself, oh he'd never be like that...

Hitoshi spread the sunscreen along Alex's neck, starting just behind his ears and working downward along Alex's spine until he reached his waist, then back up Alex's sides. A part of him to just lean forward and start kissing whatever parts of Alex he could reach, but...that was definitely not a good idea. Or so he kept telling himself.
"You. Um." Hitoshi tried to think of something to say to Alex in order to distract himself, and wasn't entirely successful. "You...you have nice skin."
Well, that was terribly eloquent.

Eventually, Alex just sort of stopped moving. If he didn't move, he reasoned, maybe he wouldn't have such a hard time distracting himself from Hitoshi, and how... nice, and... touching... and how incredibly unfair it was that Hitoshi had to be back there to keep doing that, and what a great idea it sounded like to convince Hitoshi to strip his shirt off and let him... with the things and the touching.
"W-what?" He turned back to look at Hitoshi, still blushing.

If Hitoshi hadn't already been blushing as much as possible, he probably would have went a few shades darker. His hands stilled somewhere around Alex's waist. "You--um. N-nothing." He licked his lips slightly.
...Fuck it all. He'd kissed Alex once in the past three weeks, and that hadn't quite been the same. He leaned forward and pressed his lips against Alex's, and--in Hitoshi's opinion--showed an incredible amount of restraint in not tossing Alex down on the bed and taking full advantage of Alex's not-completely-clothed state.

Between kissing and Hitoshi's hands around his waist, Alex was far less capable. He made an irritable little noise and knocked Hitoshi over, crawling on top of him and trying, seemingly, simultaneously to rip Hitoshi's shirt off and swallow his tongue.

A soft, dark sound tore itself from Hitoshi's throat and he tightened his arm around Alex's middle, making damn sure that there was no more than a centimeter of space between any given part of him the analogous spot on Alex. If Alex wasn't showing restraint, Hitoshi decided, then neither was he. He was going to lay back and do exactly what the baser parts of his anatomy were dictating to him.
He managed to wriggle enough to get his shirt most of the way off off, which at very least exposed any part of his chest Alex would be terribly interested in getting to, unless Alex really wanted to see his shoulders. The hand that wasn't predisposed with pinning Alex in place slid someplace a bit south of its location on Alex's back and squeezed.
He considered, when this was all over -- and he wasn't entirely sure what this was except that he really, really liked it -- seeing if Alex wanted to help him put on sunscreen.

Post by Hoshi Yogo on Jul 4, 2010 21:42:02 GMT -5
Hoshi had woken up ridiculously early -- or rather, ridiculously early for Hoshi at any rate -- and ended up taking an early morning swim in the hotel pool. The cold water was good for his head, and he had a bit of thinking to do that morning. Eventually, however, Hoshi needed to return to his hotel room and pick up a few things before heading off to the beach. And this, Hoshi decided, was his fatal mistake.
He flung the door open and stopped midway through drying his hair with a towel, stuck midstep. He was torn between being happy that he had not opened the door a minute later and wishing that he hadn't opened it at all, and wondering why in the world they were on his bed.
Hoshi cleared his throat loudly and looked at a very interesting-looking spot on the ceiling. "I'm glad to see the two of you are on good terms again," he said dryly. "It's probably a bit late to ask this, but would you like me to go back outside and knock before entering?"

Alex didn't quite register the sound of the door opening, but the throat-clearing brought him back as close to his senses as he would get for a while. He pushed himself up into a seated position and stared at Professor Yogo, hardly missing a beat.
"Ah," he responded, "oh, sorry if we woke you up last night. Ah, we're going to the beach today, and Hitomi invited everyone. You can come. Ah." He hopped off the bed and grabbed his swim trunks- and sunscreen, where it had fallen off- as if everything was completely normal, albeit a bit quicker than he would normally have done so. "I'm going to go change. Good morning, sir."
Dash dash dash bathroom-door-click.

Hitoshi stared wide-eyed at Professor Yogo, looking like he'd just gotten caught stealing from the cookie jar. Which, when he thought about it, might not have been the most apt metaphor. Cookie jars didn't typically pounce on you and pin you to a bed.
In the time it took Hitoshi to actually process what had happened beyond wondering why Alex wasn't pressed up against him anymore, the bastard had managed to hide himself away in the bathroom, which left Hitoshi to deal with the professor who was currently staring at him. And probably wondering why the hell he was just working on getting to second base with the person he'd had a screaming match with the night before.
Hitoshi had half a mind to follow Alex into the bathroom. Or, more specifically, he had about a quarter of a mind to go after him and hide in the bathroom and possibly try to kick Alex out into the room to deal with the professor, a quarter of a mind to go finish what he started and hope that maybe Alex had already gotten his pants off, and half a mind to sit there staring into space and hoping to god the professor didn't try and talk to him about this or something. He eventually decided on the last one, since he was fairly certain the traitor had already locked the door.

"So." Hoshi glanced back over at Hitoshi. "Weather's nice today." Hoshi gave Hitoshi a nervous smile, then as nonchalantly as possible, grabbed his wallet and stuck it in his pocket, then headed back out the door. That was definitely not on the Top Ten Things Hoshi Wanted to See on His Bed.

Alex probably should've been changing. He wasn't really thinking about that, more about... well, the coherent thoughts were more like oh, god, what just happened and at least it wasn't Hitomi with a side of maybe once he's gone we can keep going. He wasn't sure how he felt about that last one, but then he heard another click from the door outside and peered out at Hitoshi.
Oh. He was...
"I'm sorry," Alex wibbled in embarassment, hands over his mouth. Oh god Hitoshi looked nice with... "Though, if we want to be ready for..." He swallowed. "This is going to make swimming more awkward than before."

Hitoshi had mostly managed to pull himself upright, though he still looked incredibly disheveled and more than a little like he'd been ravished by someone. He reached up and fixed his glasses on his nose.
"Swimming," he muttered. "Right. We were going swimming. With Hitomi. And about a dozen other people." He licked his lips. The texture of Alex's mouth was still fresh on his tongue.
"I don't suppose you need any more sunscreen?" Hitoshi looked over at Alex, clearly with nothing but the purest intentions. "I don't think you did the front, and I'd hate for you to get sunburned."

Alex looked at Hitoshi, considering his options. On the one hand, he had no clue where this would end, and aside from Hitomi probably banging on their door at some point in the next ten minutes and the fact that he did have to finish putting on sunscreen, he wasn't entirely sure that he felt this was a good idea.
On the other hand, this would just get more and more awkward, and he couldn't think of any real coherent arguments against anything that involved Hitoshi looking at him like that.
He just sort of stood there and stared for about half a minute, then walked over to the bed, an expression of uncertainty on his face.
"Yeah, I, there are a lot of places... ah. Let's not get sunscreen on the professor's bed, ah? Or... whatever it is you'd like to do."

Hitoshi nodded and switched over to his own bed. "You...um." He looked sheepishly at Alex. "We should probably actually finish before Hitomi comes to find us. The sunscreen, I mean."
He paused and looked up at Alex. "Though--if you want to finish the other thing later, I'm sure we could lock Professor Yogo out of the room when we get back." Or find a relatively secluded spot on the beach. Or tell Hitomi they weren't feeling up to the beach. Something.

Alex gave Hitoshi a great warm grin and leaned down to kiss him on the cheek.
"In that case, I think I should finish the rest, so we don't get distracted again. Thanks for doing what you did; maybe if we're less... tense sometime, I'll do the same for you."

"Mm." Hitoshi smirked. "I think I'd like that." He stood up and wrapped his arms around Alex's middle, pulling the other boy back against him. It was nice being able to do things like this again, particularly after almost a month of hardly more than looking at him. He should probably go get changed, he thought, but...well. A minute wouldn't hurt. "On the bright side," he mused, "you don't feel nearly as cold anymore."
