Q: Graduation will be coming soon! What does that mean for my senior?
Yes, we're playing out graduation. Everyone is gonna go up in grade. There's always University- or you can drop characters. Up t'you.
Q: Gosh, we have a lot of Academy Juniors. Does this mean that if we're still going next year, there'll be a lot of our favorite characters not played anymore? D:
Maybe. Characters need retirement sometime, but it's up to you. Keep in mind two things, though: one, that we're trying to expand the plot past Dunehelden's grounds, and two, that if this really becomes an issue, between Emi and I there'll be like six new flavors of Dunehelden up within a month. (Right now we're considering a space opera in which everyone is reincarnated except maybe the vampires and except Kemekin who is a cyborg from the fuuutuuuure :v)
Q: Prom? Prom with more boys in dresses? :3c
Hells to the yes.
Q: More seriously, do I need to resubmit applications?
You should check to see if they need to be updated, at least. If your character is no longer mortal, has significantly new powers, or if you just want us to be able to keep track of their backstory, you should seriously consider it.
Q: So, other than that, what do I need to know for next semester?
Two major things (possibly more if I'm forgetting something)!
First, all Academy dorms will be reshuffled. There might be exceptions made for the Aetais and other siblings (though we still might shuffle them among each others, so, say, Zephyros might be rooming with Boreas next year), but people are going to be rooming with new folks. This is partly to encourage people to interact with other characters, partly to accommodate the fact that several pairs are going to be broken up one way or the other for IC reasons, and partly because we (the admins) are evil and want you to suffer for us in an entertaining manner.
(Jason may or may not end up rooming with Tebryn due to a "paperwork mixup", for example. One never knows.)
Second, whether in addition to or instead of Opening Ceremonies, we are going to have Freshman Orientation. All Freshmen. All transfers. Possibly even University Freshmen who have been there a while. All character-types in one class. For at least one semester.
Partly because there is a certain level of expectation that everyone knows the difference between, say, a Werewolf and a lycanthrope. Everyone needs to know what to do in case of a lycanthrope bite, or a vampire bite, intentionally or not, whether they're biter or bite-ee. Everyone needs to know what to do in case a spell goes really damn wrong. And everyone needs to know...
...Well, let's just say we're gonna update you on the history of the world a little by summer's end.
Partly, also, because this is your chance to ask all the questions you've ever wanted to know about the setting IC. (One of the admins' characters will be teaching this, for this reason. Probably Rivienne or Sa'id or someone unless Gussu gets interwebs, then probably Himmel.)
Q: That was really long and wordy.
Bite me. : B
So, any more questions?
