Hitoshi sat at one of the tables, books stacked around him, his biology notes open in front of him. There were only a few weeks left before finals, and biology was -- relatively speaking -- Hitoshi's weakest subject.
Hitoshi liked being in the library. Almost no one bothered coming in the library, likely because of Fable, which meant that it was always quiet, and usually empty. The air smelled like old books.
Really, once one learned how to cope with Fable, the library was quite pleasant.

Boreas walked quietly into the library and sat down at one of the empty study tables. He took out his biology textbook and sighed silently. Pulling out another sheet of paper he flipped through the book. Boreas shook his head at it, biology wasn't his subject. It was by definition the study of life and Boreas was by metaphor the absence of it.
Finally he stopped on a page. The chair creaked slightly as he leaned forward considering the page carefully. Then he leaned back and held out his hand. The air crackled as the moisture of the air froze and connected. After a few seconds an ice model of an atom floated above his palm. He removed his hand and it stayed in place. Smiling at his own personal irony he picked up his pencil and began to write. Rotating the atom every once and awhile.

Hitoshi peered over at the student at the next table. He knew Boreas -- he was in both necromancy and biology class with him. And from what Hitoshi could see, Boreas was doing biology homework as well.
He lowered his pencil, watching Boreas turn the replica over in the air. That was much more creative than any solution Hitoshi would have come up with -- and certainly more effective than flipping constantly between pages.
He looked from the atom back to Boreas. Hitoshi wasn't normally one for collaborating on assignments, but it might be helpful to have a different perspective on the material.
"How far have you gotten in the review?"

Boreas looked up at Hitoshi and considered him for a moment. "I don't know, I've lost my place between 'this isn't actually relevant' and 'no body cared about that'."
He sighed and twirled his ice atom. "This is ridiculous. I have no care for such things and even less use. I'm... well I suppose you can say that I'm a bit like you. My power doesn't linger in the realm of the living. People have lived for ages, why do they need classes that explain how? They seem to be doing just fine without." He leaned back and looked at Hitoshi. "So what makes you ask anyhow?" He inquired.

Hitoshi considered that for a moment. "If you're adverse to spending more time than necessary on the review, maybe we could help one another out," Hitoshi suggested. "We could each take half of the questions and answer them, then share answers. Obviously on the written questions, we would want to reword the answers slightly from one another, but even so, it would take much less time than doing the entire review alone."
