"You were an elf. The you I knew." He smiled. "Explains the blushing, too. I guess there isn't another me to perch on your shoulder and steal half your apartment space, hmm?"

"I wouldn't quite put it that way, but--I do sort of know you."
Attempting to change the subject before the conversation veered into more awkward territory, Hitoshi continued, "Not just you, either. I've seen the other two before, as well." He glanced at the two blonds.

Aravilui looked over at him. Wow, he was short. And just as odd as the others. "Forgive me for my lack of knowledge on such things. I recognize very little of anything in here. Socket?"
He looked around then smiled in thanks as Frog helped him... but didn't plug the stupid thing in. He ate one of the marshmallows curiously and immediately decided he did not not like it. Finally he found something that seemed to fit the weird cord, and he carefully 'plugged' it in. A light on the machine came up and Aravilui felt a very small glow of triumph. Following the directions on the machine he had found, he poured water from a sink (What odd plumping... pity it didn't work like that at home) into the machine and turned it on with the pot back where it belonged. It made a gurgling sound and he nodded slightly in satisfaction.
Now that he'd achieved his goal, he turned to examine the newcomer. "You might have met someone like me, but I have certainly never seen anyone like you. Like any of you, frankly. But then, I do not know very many Men at all. They are rare where I come from, and I do not travel often. My name is Aravilui," he said, giving a slight bow. Even if this one was rude, there was no reason for Aravilui to return the favor. See, Carmelor? Your constant nagging is actually WORKING. It just took nearly a thousand years...

Alex bowed in return. "Alex Meriweather. Nice to meet you. I can't say I've seen anyone dressed like you before, myself, but otherwise everything seems reasonable."
Never seen so many men? Oh, good thing they'd gotten that cleared up before he'd committed a faux pas.

"That sounds rather unfortunate," Frog replied, tilting his head slightly. "I don't think I would want to live in a society that was mostly women."
Frog began filling a cup with chocolate syrup, mixing together chocolate milk.

Aravilui looked at Alex and smirked, "I mean mortals, not 'men' as in of that gender. I grew up with Elves, in a forest where mortals do not often come... admittedly because they are not very welcome. I rather doubt men are any more outnumbered by women in my home than in your own. Though I don't get along with the other gender very well... women are strange."
Looking through the shelves again, he pulled out one of the bottles labeled 'Coke' and fought with it to get it open. Taking a sip, he tilted his head to the side curiously. What an odd drink. Getting the lid back on, he set it on the counter and kept looking for anything that caught his curiosity. So much strangeness here... Finally losing interest in the food, he turned to look at the others, examining them closely. They all seemed mostly human, though Leaping Frog and Alex moved oddly.
