As Rebeka walked out of the student lounge, she realized that she hadn't eaten anything since breakfast.
Rebeka then noticed the hole in her belly where her stomach should be and dashed off into the mess hall to grab a bite to eat.
Upon reaching the mess hall she saw that there was cat fish on the menu and she thought to herself "Oh, boy this is going to be a fun year." She picked up four and a half servings of cat fish.

"My, my, you're a hungry one, aren't you?" a soft voice commented.
Sitting at a table near the center of the cafeteria, an open book to his left, a rather young looking professor picked a bit at a salad.
He could see the flow of her power was strong, but there was something off about it. It was too wild, too rapid. She didn't exhibit the control that even a fledgling mage should have shown. It was...an enigma. "Tell me, little magelet, what have you done to your power?"

Rebeka looks at him and shrugs "A tale I'd rather not go into for a while. As for being hungry it's been about 3 hours since I have eaten so." she smiles and sits down near him and starts quickly eating.

What a peculiar girl...
Himself, it had been almost a full twenty four hours since his last meal, and he was almost full from just a bowl of soup and a few bites of a salad...
"If you eat to quickly, you'll make yourself sick," he chided absently, turning the page in his book.

Rebeka giggles and shrugs putting the better part of a serving in her mouth and chewing it very quickly before saying "I am very used to it my father wasn't exactly a patient person. And, I have to keep my energy up."

Hoshi raised an eyebrow. "Is that right?" he muttered. Something was very odd about this particular girl.
"I'm Professor Hoshi, by the way," he added courteously. "I'll most likely be your English teacher."

Rebeka turns her head to the side studying him a little almost the way her fathers lynx would. "I am Rebeka. I would say I am a young mage but I don't know if that is still true or not."

He glanced up at her, his deep gray eyes studying her intently in an almost unsettling way. "And what would make you no longer a mage?" he replied slowly. "Your power is still there. That much I can see."

Rebeka slows down eating a good deal (almost just picking at her food) "I don't have any control over it any more. I screwed up and lets leave it at that."

"Is that right?" he mused to himself. He stood up swiftly, sweeping the garbage onto his tray and tucking his book beneath his arm.
"Well, I'm afraid I have some urgent matters to attend to, so I must be going," he sighed. "I'll likely be seeing you in English class, hm?"
He smiled, giving a slight bow, then vanished into the air with all the flourish and flair of a stage magician.

Rebeka giggles a little despite the fact that she knows full well her father would call that sort of use and flourish wasteful.
Rebeka finishes her food and then gets up and runs off to go take a cat nap in her new bed.
