Hitoshi entered first, thankful for the fresher, cooler air of his room compared to the stuffy arena. He slowly and meticulously undid she shoes, sliding them off and scooting onto the bed. It was strange, after being so close to Alex for such an extended period of time, being so far away.
He glanced up at the boy, feeling something strange pass through him.

Alex was anxious to start classes so that he would have something more important to think about than whether he should spend most of his waking moments trying to get Hitoshi to just kiss him already or arrange for another room so he'd stop obsessing. He was happy they'd finally gotten their texts; he could either get a head start on things or ask Hitoshi to help him with math.
"Well that was... something," Alex smiled awkwardly at his roommate.

Hitoshi nodded. "Mm."
He paused for a moment, looking back at him curiously. He couldn't explain why Alex seemed to effect him so much. It was disquieting, at the least. "I suppose."

'Mm'? Alex tilted his head slightly and tried to read Hitoshi's expression.
"Did I say something wrong, or are you just tired?"

Hitoshi glanced back up at Alex, replying somewhat apologetically, "I'm somewhat distracted, is all." Hitoshi didn't mean to be rude, and it bothered him a bit that he might have been perceived as being so.
"This...it's just, this destiny thing is worrying me," he continued. "I'd like to know what it actually means."

Tristan hesitated a bit, knocking on the door. This was going to be plenty awkward, and he wasn't looking forward to it. At the very least, Smoke was there, so that was something. "Ready or not..." he grumbled under his breath.

Smoke leaned against the wall beside the door with his arms crossed. Tristan's reaction to Hitoshi's involvement was amusing from a removed point of view, but the situation as a whole had the potential to be... problematic. Besides, it wouldn't be fun if he were Tristan- though there were perfectly good reasons he wasn't.
"It's probably not going to be as awkward as you think it is, you know. These things rarely are."

Hitoshi glanced up, muttering something under his breath. Who on earth would be bothering them now?
"Alex, would you mind getting the door?" he asked, reaching for his laptop. He didn't feel like talking to anyone right now, and Alex was better at handling people, anyway.

"Sure."
Alex hopped up and over to the door. He cracked it open a couple of inches and was curious to see- he thought that was Professor Gilespi- looking worried. Probably here to see Hitoshi, of course; and he had looked frustrated before, so maybe he just had Hitoshi's dark personality.
Alex smiled up to the man and opened the door further. "Good afternoon, sir. Would you like to come in?"

Tristan ran a hand through his hair. Well, at least they were both here, which meant they could get it over all at once. He briefly wondered if it might be good to suggest to the Headmaster that Hitoshi move rooms. Of course, he had a feeling that crazy woman knew more than he gave her credit for, and if she felt it might be a problem, she would take care of it herself. He didn't want to have to talk to her about this.
"Uh, yeah, we'd...better sit down for this," he explained. "Professor Smoke and I have something we need to talk to the two of you about."
When all else failed, the safe route was to try and pin as much of this on Smoke as possible...

Alex briefly looked troubled, then pulled his smile back onto his face.
"Uhm, okay." He dashed over to pull out his desk chair for- one of them- and sat down cross-legged on his bed. He began to feel a bit like his territory was being violated with so many people, particularly authority figures, but this was probably important, whatever it was.

Smoke had a vague idea what Tristan was thinking, and if he was right about it, like hell.
"Sorry about barging in like this," he smiled apologetically and leaned against the other side of the wall, inside the room this time. Man, these dorm rooms were cramped. "I mentioned the little tarot thing the other day and your uncle thought I'd been a little vague."

Bastard was trying to push this off on him... He'd have to deck him for that later. "We just wanted to let you know some things, since you kind of have a right to know what's going on." Tristan crossed the room, taking a seat at Hitoshi's desk.

Hitoshi glanced up, pushing his computer aside. If Tristan was getting involved, it must be something serious. "Ah, Tristan, Smoke. We'd like to know what you found."
Hitoshi slid to the edge of his bed, looking at the two adults. The prospect of knowing what was going to happen, what he and Alex were destined to do...it was thrilling, and a little frightening.

Alex wanted to scoot over towards Hitoshi. Instead, he picked his pillow up and hugged it, for something to rest his head on, or if necessary, hide his expression behind.
He glanced at Hitoshi, trying to communicate his vague worry to him and not to the other two... then had to ask himself why he'd done that. There wasn't any reason to worry, certainly not to tell Hitoshi about it, as far as he know. He sat quietly and tried to pick apart his reactions while waiting for someone to say something useful.

Tristan took a deep breath, trying to think of where to begin and the best way to go about it.
"Well, the first big thing seems to be that there is a major conflict -- probably some sort of a battle, it looks like -- somewhere in the future," he said slowly. "There also seems to be a person...a female...in the future. Someone who will betray you. Someone you trust."
He paused for a moment, deciding to let them react to that much before he dumped anything else on them.

Alex looked curiously at Professor Gilespi. That wasn't what he had expected.
"Oh," he said. "Well, that's unfortunate. I suppose you don't actually know who?"

He sighed. "Unfortunately, there's no way to tell that," he explained. "It may not even be solid yet. The future is a very fluid thing -- it flows along a course, so to speak, but it's constantly changing to fit the surroundings."
He looked at Smoke. "Anything you'd like to add, Smoke?"

Smoke looked at Hitoshi as he spoke. "Just that right now, it looks like this is going to take a while to actually come to pass. Right now, it's probably no big deal."

Hitoshi paused, keeping his eyes locked on Alex, judging his response. This was probably much harder for Alex to take then it was for him. "I understand," he said quietly. "We'll make sure to be careful."

Tristan looked back at Smoke, "Is there anything else you think they need to know? I don't know what's necessary and what's not."
He looked back at the boys. "Either of you have any questions?"

To Hitoshi, Alex was visibly relieved. Ah, I see, he thought. I was worried they were going to say something that would...
That would mean he couldn't be with Hitoshi. That was a worrying thought, but not one that could compete with the little happy dance his heart was doing that it was just something about a future betrayal or whatever. Alex believed he knew how to handle that sort of nonsense quite well.

Hitoshi smiled slightly at Alex. He seemed to be handling this surprisingly well, which was a good thing. He had a feeling his uncle wouldn't tell them much more information than what he'd already given, especially regarding anything actually important.
"Alex, do you have any other questions? I have just about all the information I need."

Hmm. Alex considered how to answer that.
"Do you think that means that... that's it? And the stuff we looked up is unlikely?" Really not sure how to feel about that.

Tristan shook his head. "Not necessarily. The tarot cards don't really say how things will come about, just what the future seems to hold in a general sense. What you came up with might be reasonably valid."
