Player's Name: Emi
Name: Li Youngcheol
Age: 19
Grade: University sophomore
Birthday: 17 August
Height: 6'3''
Weight: approx. 180 lbs
Gender: male
Personality: First impressions of Youngcheol are generally wrong. He seems quiet, perhaps bored. Truthfully, Youngcheol is quite a rebellious lad. At home, he sneaks out at all hours and has little regard for his own safety as far as seeking entertainment goes. He likes to explore, even if that means just lying in the grass and exploring the confines of his own mind. He meditates occasionally, if only to clear his head. He is equal parts cool-headed and temperamental. His interest is easily caught by pretty girls, especially those who are a bit "off"-- it's an odd attribute to describe, and does not necessarily mean that something is wrong with the person.
Youngcheol appreciates the value of the written word, and keeps extensive journals of his thoughts, his experiences, and random ideas that happen to come into his head.
Appearance: Youngcheol is a dreadfully handsome boy, with smooth, sun-touched skin and an aesthetic, athletic build. His jet-black hair is mildly shaggy, having grown a bit from a shorter cut. His eyes are equally dark. He definitely shares his father's appearance-- he has inherited Haneul's famous mask-like expression, though Youngcheol breaks this poker face much more frequently than Haneul would. Subtle differences in Youngcheol's appearance were begot from his mother, mostly in facial structure.
History: Youngcheol is technically a cambion, the half-human offspring of an incubus/succubus and their *ahem* victim. (For the purpose of simplicity, I'm going to assume that DHverse incubi/succubi are just specific forms of vampire.)
Youngcheol's mother was wronged by some colleague higher up in the vampire hierarchy. Not powerful enough to enact her own revenge, Youngcheol's mother set out to put into motion an elaborate plan that would enable her to have someone get revenge FOR her-- someone more powerful than she, but that would still do her bidding. After much searching she came across someone in China; a figure of local legend known as "the Ageless Monk." It was said that he was something between Human and Spirit, that he aged slowly, like the forest, and that his skin could bear no injury. Youngcheol's mother hunted down this monk, enchanted him, set her plan into motion, and left.
A few weeks later, Haneul came to his senses. He felt as if he had just awakened from a deep trance. Confused, but only mildly phased, Haneul went back to his regular lifestyle. A year went by with no upsets before a mysterious message came to the monastery-- a message pinned to the cloth wrapped around an infant, barely a few months old. The message told Haneul that the child was his. Oh, and to not worry about the month or so that was missing from his memory. That was normal.
No word on when Youngcheol's mother will be back to lay claim on her little soldier.
Relatives who are now or have been at Dunehelden: Li Haneul, Nina Paem (he's not sure whether to call her his aunt or his sister. He generally defaults at "noona.") He's still not sure how he feels about Kemekin, and only calls him "hyung" (big brother) out of respect.
Powers: From Haneul, Youngcheol gained the ability to resist injury (he is still susceptible to illness) and the general physical prowess of someone who has studied martial arts since they were able to walk. (not technically a power, but there you go.) From his mother, Youngcheol gains a volcanic charisma and an uncanny talent for manipulation. Even the most strong-willed peers can be talked into doing what Youngcheol wants them to, provided he can either keep eye contact, or skin-to-skin contact, such as holding another's hand.
Weaknesses: The effectiveness of his powers of manipulation are cut in half if some kind of eye- or skin- contact is not maintained. Also, seeing that the usual feeding methods for a sexual vampire are explicitly forbidden in a school environment, Youngcheol cannot get a full meal in a short sitting, like a regular vampire drinking fake blood from a glass. Youngcheol has to feed much more often than his vampiric peers. Granted, walking through a crowd of hormonal teenagers is generally enough to satiate him for a bit; though sometimes it might do little more than whet his appetite.
Apparent Age: Actual age.
