((title is crack. ignore.))
Ellie had only spoken to Silvius once-- and that had been just a brief meeting in the staff lounge. But she had a problem, and no clue of knowing whether it was detrimental to her health or not. Moreover, she had no clue how to take care of it, or if there was even anything she could do about it.
She had waited, given it time. Still, the odd mark on her stomach had not faded. Not in the normal sense, anyway. Some days it was shades lighter than her skin, others shades darker. Just off of her navel, a few inches in length and shaped like the tail of a comet, it bore an odd scar-like sheen.
Silvius might have some clue as to what had caused it. She hoped.

Silvius' fountain pen scratched frantically against the lab reports in front of him, currently on the paper of Kemekin Evans-Barros. The handwriting was atrocious, but unfortunately not so much that he was unable to read it. It was quite a pity, since he would only be able to dock a handful of points instead of giving the entire paper an F. And despite whatever he had expected of the student, Silvius had to admit--rather grudgingly--that Kemekin both knew the material and had the natural talent for the labs. Even docking points for behavior, which he did rather liberally, Kemekin was still making a high A. It was almost disgusting.
Silvius heard footsteps, and the rapid scratching of his pen halted. He looked up from the paper into the face of the offending student's aunt.
"Dr. Evans-Barros," he announced. "How may I help you?"

Ellie smiled. "I wondered if I could talk with you about something, Professor Korlianes," she said. "I didn't know who to go to about it, but a Necromancer made the most sense. I'm sure you've heard about the incident I was involved in, a few weeks back." If not the details, he had surely caught some of the rumors circulating about the student body.
"I seem to have gained a bit of a souvenir from it, but I've not a clue if there's anything I can do-- or should do-- about it. It seems like a scar, of sorts, but there's no damage indicating a scarring injury."

Silvius pushed his chair back from the desk and turned to face her, his hands steepled in front of his face. Silvius was hardly what most people would consider generous, but if there was something he could do for the healer, Silvius would be more than willing to help. Generous or not, he was no fool. He was getting on in years, and his field was a dangerous one. He would need her help in time. And, as loathe as he was to admit it, she was a hard person to dislike, even if her nephew was an impudent brat.
"I had heard the rumors, though I was uncertain as to whether or not they were reliable," he replied. "I'll take a look at it, if you wish, but it would be helpful to me to hear the firsthand account of the events."

Ellie nodded. She related to Silvius-- using only as much detail as necessary-- what had happened, starting with a mention of her disappearance at the hands of the Fae back around Samhain. She explained the enchantment, the dreams, the sleepwalking, and Korlian and Vincent's efforts to keep her out of the forest. Then she got to Vincent's singing, and her magic's reaction to it.
"It was like my magic reacted on its own to his call. It sort of grew and changed into something different-- it felt like something was ripped out of me, and later, after I woke up, I found this." She lifted the hem of her blouse just enough to show the not-quite-scar, just above her navel. To demonstrate why it had her so worried, she lifted her other hand and created one of those odd, crystalline orbs she had grown so fond of. The mark grew warm and grew lighter, showing nearly white against her skin.
"It reacts to my magic. Which, by the way, has changed into something different. My healing still works the same way, but have strange new abilities... and I've been noticing that things react to my magic on their own, now."
Indeed, a potted plant placed by the window had perked up since Ellie's entrance; one of the half-dried leaves that had fallen off and now lay on the windowsill had regained some of its green tinge.

Silvius' eyes widened. He slipped his glasses off of his nose and folded them on his desk. This was certainly not what he had been expecting. The scar glinted silver, and if he concentrated, he could feel the eerie resonance of the fae from the mark.
"And this sudden change in your magic coincided with the appearance of the scar," he mused, more to himself than to the doctor. "This is indeed very peculiar."
Silvius sat back in his chair and cleared his throat. "I have heard of such things happening before, though I have not witnessed them myself," he began slowly. "It seems that something that happened that night triggered a sudden leap in your magic. A growth spurt, if you will. Of course, we can only speculate as to which event was the stimulus, though the most likely cause is that of the fae. It is possible that this advancement was a sort of self defense mechanism on your magic's behalf.
"The scar, I believe, is the physical manifestation of this. I can see the faint traces of fae magic around it, which leads me to believe that you quite literally forced the infectious magic out of your system. This is all just theory, of course, so I cannot say for sure that my presumptions are correct, but that is the most logical conclusion I can see."
