((choir room))
Chris liked singing with her parents-- really, she did. Especially with her father; their voices tended to harmonize automatically. But Chris just didn't like the sound of her own natural voice. It didn't satisfy her until it had been manipulated and computerized. Which was why Chris was alone in the choir room during lunch break, sitting cross-legged on the floor with her ever-present laptop in front of her. She had just finished recording the harmonies for a short rendition of Ave Maria-- and was running the sound into layers with the other recordings she had done just a few minutes before. These layers were sent through a filter and computerized, then tweaked until none of them sounded enough like her to be immediately recognizable.
Chris considered creating a background track to add some instrumentals, but thought better of it-- Ave Maria was a song best done a capella.
Tweaking and pitching done, Chris connected the layers at key points and set up the playback to hear it.
