What character types are semi-restricted, and what does that mean?
A semi-restricted character is a character that requires greater scrutiny than usual. It requires approval from all three admins, and will be canon-picked not just in the application but with regards to what you intend to do with them. These characters either will have inherent ties with a number of other characters, specific roles they will need to play (whether they want them or not), or both.
It is recommended that you not make up a whole character that you really, really want to play before you actually run it by us.
Hunters, small gods, bound fae, half-fae, fae-touched, characters involved with the Athenaeum, and mythical or extinct shapeshifters are all semi-restricted.
What character types are restricted, and what does that mean?
Restricted characters should not be applied for. If we have one show up, first, there will be a specific plot reason for it, second, you will be required to have a damn good idea of the setting and where your character stands in it, and third, you will basically be a plot puppet at certain times.
Given this, usually we'll have an admin create them. If we want you to do one, we will ask you. Do not ask us to play one, and do not ask us to make one so you can have one available.
Unbound Fae, avatara, other deities, ghosts, anything more powerful than your average teacher, and anything not otherwise mentioned are all restricted.
