Character History: Ian Harris has not had a very good life. At a young age, he began to see small objects that didn't actually exist. As he grew older, these objects grew in size and number. His parents sent him to several psychologists, none of whom could discover the reason behind Ian's “imaginary” objects. Ian was forced to take numerous medications, none of which made things any better.
When he entered high school, things only got worse. Ian began having violent spasms and pains that the doctors could find no reason for. He made dozens of visits to the hospital during high school, to the point where he was almost expelled for missing so much school. However, Ian graduated with honors, and planned to go to the local community college to study literature.
However, the night after his graduation, Ian attempted to take a bridge across a river, only to discover that the bridge did not actually exist. While in the hospital, one of the doctors (who had dealt with cases like Ian's before) suggested that Ian enroll at a school for magic instead, where he could learn to control his “powers”. For Ian's own good, he and his family agreed.
