Liv skidded around the corner and rushed down the adjacent corridor, barely feeling the floor beneath her feet. Her toes hardly touched down with each step and her hair flew out behind her like a banner.
Another corner, through an open doorway and past a row of rather perplexed-looking suits of armor that probably had not been there before, and down a flight of stairs, Liv half ran, half flew with no thought of where she was going.
And then she stopped.
Not willingly, of course. She ran into someone, and the two of them skidded a few yards along the floor in a tangle of curses and flailing limbs.

James HAD been minding his own business with his nose in a book. His ears perked at the sound of approaching . . . what the hell WAS that noise. He surveyed the hall slowly and then. . .
"OWWWW!! HOLLY F- DANG!!!" he cursed and fell. What the heck had hit him? He looked down and saw a cute white haired girl on his chest. "Ummm, hi?" he said rubbing the back of his head, where a knot was forming.

Liv winced and puffed her bangs out of her face, trying to untangle her skirt-- it was a meticulously twisted and wrapped sarang, rather-- from the length of her hair.
"Owowowowow," she whined under her breath, using her fingers to pull apart a particularly bad knot. She paused, glanced up, and realized that she had not disengaged herself from whomever she had collided with.
"Oof. Hold on." Liv managed to yank her tresses free of the wrapped fabric and roll to a sitting position beside the speedbump of a person. A book lay off to the side. She leaned over and picked it up, handing it to him with an apologetic expression. "Sorry about that. I didn't like, kill you, did I?"

"I don't THINK you've KILLED me," James answered, wincing as he sat up, "but I would definitely say that I have a knot on my head and a few bruised ribs." He reached out and took his book from the girl. "Thanks," he said with a grimace.
He examined the book carefully, good no harm done to it but . . . dammit he'd lost his place!!! James pursed his lips and stared at the book as if it had offended him greatly. Then he remembered, Oh yeah the girl.
He turned to her, his forest green eyes looking her over. "Are you ok?"

Olivia arched an eyebrow and stood up, reaching down with both hands to help him up. He was obviously pissed about something.
"I'm fine. You actually hit the floor, I hit you." She couldn't help the smirk that started to curl one corner of her lips upward, then straightened suddenly and glanced over both shoulders as if expecting to see Death itself behind her.

James looked at the small girl, there was no way by the means of normal science and physics that she would be able to help him up without falling over herself. He stood on his own and glanced around the floor. "Good, good," he said, not fully paying attention to her.
Ah-Ha!!! He bent over and retrieved his book mark from where it had fallen on the floor. He wobbled a litte as he stood. Crap!! DIZZY!! He leaned his hand against the wall to steady himself.
He glanced at her and noticed her expression. "Running from someone?" he asked.

Still gazing over her shoulder, Liv blinked and muttered, "Yeah... yeah, I'm kind of running for my life at the moment. I pissed off my sister and--"
She turned back to face him as she spoke, and noticed he had changed position to brace himself against the wall. His eyes seemed a bit out of focus for a moment.
Liv arched an eyebrow. "How hard did you hit your head?"

A hint of a smile tugged on the right corner of Jame's mouth. "That depends on how fast you were running," he replied as he touched the back of his head and winced.
He leaned his back against the wall and slid down to sit on the floor. He rested his head on his knees and tried to breathe, not focusing on the pain. He had experianced much worse before, he would get through it. . . but maybe going to see Ms. Ellie wouldn't be a bad idea.
