Name: What do you think.
Age: 25.
Gender: Male.
Eye Color: Bright blue.
Hair Color: Black, short and curly.
Height: Slightly above average.
Weight: Average build + high metabolism + significant muscle from all the stuff he does = ??? (Profit!)
Significant Physical Details: Lance looks significantly younger than he is (maybe 17-18). He is also neither sparkly nor furry.
Class (we need to know what grade you're in to put you in classes, remember to specify whether you're in academy or university): First year~ in university. Like half of them.
Major (required for university students, optional for high schoolers): Hunter; generally Ranger/Tracker. Mostly he helps Rivienne and Tristan with things.
Birthday (Zodiac optional): Somewhere in Aquarius.
Sexual Orientation (If you put something stupid like 'lot's I'm going to hurt you): Mostly gay.
Hobbies: He reads anything he can get his hands on. He also plays guitar (though he's not terribly good at it) and has a weakness for girl rockers and early jazz/torch stuff.
Fears: Inadequacy, wasted potential, things hurting his friends, disappointing his father, and spiders. But mostly the inadequacy, boy howdy.
Blood Type: A.
Seriously, Why are you Here: Lance makes a pretty good hunter, and he's already been initiated by other folks.
Special Abilities (No super hero crap, but if you are good at fighting more maybe have just a tiny bit of magic it'll be okay. Common sense, mortal not mage, got it?): Lance is smart. Like, scary smart: we're not exactly talking godlike here, but he does make the people around him wonder why he's not off curing cancer or terraforming the moons of Jupiter or something, to his great discomfort. He also seems to be slightly resistant to Enchantment.
Character History:
Lance has a nice little upwardly-mobile family. His mother is an elementary school teacher, his eldest brother has some obscure job in intercorporate-something which pays well, his sister got a scholarship to the Ivy League before she decided to be a newscaster, and his other brother, whom he's actually rather close to, is a concert pianist.
And then there's his father. Lance's father is in the Air Force, and in DH-verse, the second-highest-ranking black man in the branch, having followed his father in. He really wanted one of his kids to take up the tradition, too- and though the man didn't want to say anything, and potentially steer his kids away from something that would make them much happier, Lance picked up pretty quickly that he was his father's last chance to see that happen. Having all the resolve of a beached whale and no compelling motivation to speak of, he decided to try it out.
This actually turned out better than it sounded like, until on a particular assignment he got juuust enough backbone to get very angry and a bit loud about certain decisions being made around him, ended up on the wrong side of a string of misunderstandings and botched paperwork that put him face-to-face with a large angry magical something, managed to rather heroically hold it off until people with bigger guns arrived, and promptly collapsed from blood loss. (It also flashed his eyes bright-sky blue for some reason no one has yet been able to quite define, not knowing what it was.)
The people involved (including him) decided they didn't really want to think about it too hard, and so cut their losses and let him leave. He picked a random large city nobody he knew lived in, ended up falling in with some other people who'd had supernatural experiences, and eventually got referred to Dunehelden.
