Player's Name: Gussu
Name: Skygge Omdhal (Legal Mortal Name), Ingen Skygge, Barn av Ingen Farge, Tenn Velsignet Barn
Age: Unknown (He SEEMS to be in his mid-teens though)
Grade: Academy Freshman
Birthday: Unknown
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 130
Gender: Male
Appearance: Bright, Skygge is bright, literally. His hair, skin, even clothing are always white or light-colored. In contrast to his name which means shadow, he seems to lack one. He seems to just deflect shadows in general, Skygge could stand in a dark shadow at night and seem to shine.
Personality: (If this section gives you some trouble, you may substitute it with a brief sample post/narrative from your character's perspective.) Skygge usually seems like his mind is somewhere else, thinking of something else. Not that he's inattentive it just seems that sometimes something else is calling his attention. He seems friendly and at times make people feel very much like they want to be around him, though later they can't remember why. He's quick to laugh and be lighthearted, and that's his usual demeanor. He is terrifying when he loses his temper though, irrationally so.
History: Skygge has a long and odd history, most of which he doesn't know about or know completely of, though he assumes a lot. Skygge is the product of the bond of a mortal woman and fae. Specifically a Ljosalfar, a Light-Elf of Scandinavian legend.
His mother, Idunne, grew up in one of those small rural towns that time never seems to touch. One of those towns that still believed the stories. One of those towns that still had the rules, don't walk into the standing stones, don't enter into the hill, don't walk through the forest alone, and never leave home on the Fae nights. But, that was the old world, and she knew better. Idunne was finally leaving this place. She was getting into a real school, where she would really make something of her life. She would finally leave this town and there several- hundred-years-too-late mindset. She just had one thing on her agenda first, something she had to prove to herself to let it go. Indunne knew better of course.. but she never had gone out on one of the Fae nights, something had always held her back. Whatever that was she needed to let it go to let this place go.
She waited until the sunset on day towards the end of summer, she wasn't sure why but she felt a bit scared as she walked out the door. She met him that night, Levings Stjerne; and her goals, feelings, life changed. She came back to the mortal world twice. Once to give birth, because he insisted that their son have a human identity. And so Skygge was born in a human hospital with a birth certificate. And years later, how many she didn't know, when he disappeared.
Skygge was born in the human world he was told, and he knew his mother was human. He ended up tall like his father, and bright, literally. He couldn't put out the shine his father could but he still seemed luminescent. And odd even to the Ljosalfar he lacked a shadow, completely. He grew up with his mother and father in Alfheim, that was his normal, that was his world. He loved it, and his family. He has no idea how long he lived in Faerie or how old he really is. He knew his parents loved him and he was their pride. And he knows that world ended when his father left searching for something one day and never came back.
His mother apparently had some instructions written down by his father in case this happened. They moved back to the human world, to the town. The instructions guided them through life; helping them whenever they fell close to desperation, sometimes even seeming to give hints that Levings Stjerne was still alive. And they waited for years until they reached the year and day that they could act out the final instruction. Send Skygge to a place called 'Dunehelden'. And he went, hoping this was the final clue to helping him find his father, and take back his old life.
For Fae
Fae-type: Half Ljosalfar
Powers: Skygge can take shadows and turn them into tangible material, making them into things. His father's theory on this is that since Skygge lacks a shadow himself this is his base Fae magic trying to make up for it somehow.
Weaknesses: Complete darkness, darkness that blurs shadows and knows no light. And cold-iron, to some extent.
