One thing I would like to ask, and this is both a question to fellow admins and players, is regarding the dormitories. I have been looking at the way they are set up, and due to having an uneven distrubution of students between the different types, I have been pondering whether or not to change the way the dormitories are set up. There are a few different options.
1) The first, and easiest option, is to simply leave them the way they are. This requires the least amount of changes both in and out of character, and it's not really that big of a deal in the long run, particularly if we get more players/characters any time soon.
2) The second option is to just have the rooming be by gender, and forget about organizing by mage, vampire, werewolf, etc. This would pose the problem of whether to have it be retroactive (irritating but doable), have it apply only to future dorm ammendments but not bother justifying it in the game, or giving in-game justification and allowing students to pick their dorm mates. The latter is the most irritating, but it would probably be the wiser choice.
3) The third option is to have a more Hogwarts-style system, where there is a large sleeping area for the mages, one for the vampires, etc., possibly with seperate sections for different age groups. In our case, likely either freshman-sophomore and junior-senior or academy and university. If we did choose this one, however, university students would also be affected by it. Again, it could be either retroactively added into Dunehelden under the assumption that it has already been there, or the change can be made in character. Especially for this option, however, it would require less shifting around of past events if the change was in character, and I'm sure among the admins we could find an excuse for this.
4) If there are other ideas that any of you have regarding how to rearrange the dorms, please feel free to say something here. I would be more than happy to hear your suggestions.
