Rudy blushed a bit and shuffled around for the broom, shrugging dismissively. "You kind of learn to do stuff like that, especially with a mother like mine," he replied, carefully sweeping the glass up in the dust pan. "My mother was an ER surgeon for a little while, before she came here."
He smirked over at Thrall. "What do you think are the chances we can keep this quiet from Mom?" he asked. "I mean, if she finds out, you know we're both going to get in trouble."

He flipped off Aritha, putting up the spices and cleaning other various things. Stupid shallow bitch, he thought; can't bother to defend her friend or go off and comfort him or anything, and yet she acts like she knows everything about how to act. Sure, stay here and flirt with Rudy, it's not like he'll even remember your name tomorrow if there's another hot chick nearby.
He was going to keep this pasta and sauce for dinner; it was good. Maybe offer some to Rudeth; there was enough for two.

Aritha just snorted at him, her lip curled a little. Once she felt everything was cleaned up well, dishes, counters and floor; glass, blood and all, she looked at Thrall. The smell of blood was still in her nose, but it wasn't strong enough for her to believe it was still a problem, so she felt content in leaving.
"You had better be grateful all you did was try to hit him once. Try it again and I'll snap your arm for you. I kept out of it because I tend to break things when I fight, and Zeph usually can take care of himself. Don't touch him again; he's gone through more than enough," her voice was oddly protective, more so than one would expect for just friends. She grabbed their sauce and offered it to Rudy.
"If you want it it's all yours. Otherwise maybe I will offer it to Professor Smoke," she said, taking a deep breath. The moment Rudy answered she was going to go find Zeph... she just didn't want to leave the mess for someone else to clean.

Rudy blinked for a moment, taking the dish. "Um, yeah, sure," he replied, smiling broadly. "I hope I'll see you around sometime. You should come and sit with us in the cafeteria. Zeph too, and maybe whats-his-name, Zeph's boyfriend. I'm sure we can put this whole mess behind us with a little effort. I really don't think Hitoshi meant what he said." He paused, pursing his lips. "Well, most of it, anyway."

Thrall looked at Aritha quizzically, unsure of how to respond to that. Her threats irritated him, but they were kind of understandable.
"Hitoshi is family, and... he's been through a lot himself," he said calmly. "I've had both my arms broken before. It won't stop me-" he shook his head quickly, like brushing off a spiderweb- "that shouldn't have been a fight, okay? But I think we're on the same page here, just tell your little friend not to presume shit about people and we're cool."
"And trust me, threats won't help you." He grumphed and tried to balance the food containers on top of his books. "Hey, Rudy, you want to trade a little of that for some of mine later? You going back to the room?"

Rudy glanced from Aritha back at his twin and smiled. "Yeah, sure," he replied. "I was planning on it. What sort did you make?" He peered over at the pan. "There are a lot of spices in it, it looks like," he observed.
He turned back to Aritha and smiled. "Good luck with consoling Zephyros."

Aritha sighed, closing her eyes. "Thanks... I'm really going to need it."
She looked at Thrall, shaking her head. "If you think I'm going to have any influence on Zeph's opinion, you must live in a totally different world. I need to go find him before he runs into trouble... More trouble. I'm sorry, Thrall, Rudy..."
Sighing again, she gave Rudy a quick smile and left, trying to chase down Zeph before he got in trouble. ...Though which meaning of the word was debatable.

Frog had been, until that point, happily eating handfuls of confectioners sugar straight from a bag and watching the scene unfold. As it seemed that he was the only person who was not, in some way, involved with the conflict, he was quite content to spectate, and it seemed that most of the others had all but forgotten he was there. Which was just as well, he thought. He had all sorts of interesting things to tell Angel now.
Frog hopped down to his feet, still carrying the half empty bag of sugar, and skipped out the door behind the others.
Oh, yes, he had plenty of interesting things to tell.
