Conall's mind returned sluggishly to consciousness from the murky depths of his coma. He felt that he was lying on something soft, smelled antiseptics and various flowers. He blinked once, twice, and opened his eyes.
He was lying on a cot in a dark room, or so he assumed; the rest of the room was blocked from his sight by a thick curtain. He rose to a sitting position, his stiff back protesting every motion, and twitched aside the curtain.
Hmm... he was in the sick bay, he realized, looking around at the other cots in the room, most of which were empty. The healer didn't seem to be present; judging by the light coming from the window by his own cot, Conall found that it was nearing sunset. How long had he been here? And what had resulted in him being sent here?
He sat back, retracing his steps mentally. The last thing he recalled was playing his pipes by firelight in the faculty lounge... then the healer had arrived, and they had sat down to chat. She had wished to leave; he had held her back... The rest was a blur.
Conall swallowed, noticing how dry his throat was. He must have been out cold for quite a while. He desperately needed a drink. Rising softly from the cot, he winced and stood still as it creaked. No one seemed to notice. Relaxing, he tip-toed between the cots and toward the door, opening it silently and slipping out into the dusk-lit hallway.

Jaebi jolted into consciousness at the sound of the door closing. He straightened from where he had slumped in the chair next to Kemekin's cot, stretching his arms and arching his back with a soft grunt. He glanced at Kemekin, who was still sleeping peacefully; the mage's chest rose and fell almost imperceptibly with each quiet breath.
Jaebi stood and stretched his legs. He must have dozed off. Letting his gaze stray around the room, he noticed with his keen eyesight the distinct lack of shadow behind the curtain that had been closed a while before.
"Who were you...?" he asked aloud, gasping as realization hit him. Professor Conall. He remembered what Nina had told Kemekin about the man-- he wasn't right in the head, it seemed.
And he was loose.
Jaebi was out in the corridors like a bolt of lightning, sprinting at top speed to find the healer. As a matter of fact, any teacher would do...

_______________________________________________________It did not take Jaebi very long to get back to the Bay. Ian still securely wrapped against him, he paced down the line of beds, his claws clicking softly against the floor. In this form, he of course had no hands with which to remove the older boy...

Even running at her full speed (which was nothing to boast about, regardless,) Ellie did not reach the sick bay until several minutes after Jaebi's arrival. She stooped to unhook Ian's hands from around Jaebi's neck, barely managing to heft the boy into the bed on the other side of--
Ellie gasped. Dubhiarr lay in the bed next to Kemekin's, dried blood staining her pale throat. The healer set immediately about to cleaning this, knowing that only time would replenish her magic to a usable level.

Jaebi blinked once, waiting impatiently to be assured that Ian was secure where he was. He put his paws on the edge of Dubhiarr's bed, lifting himself to check on her-- she was still deathly pale, but her breathing was deeper than it had been. Twisting his neck, he looked to Kemekin-- sleeping peacefully.
Jaebi dropped back down to the floor and padded out the door, bolting as soon as he reached the end of that corridor.

Korlian peeked in, beginning to look tired. He probably had taken too long to come get Doctor Evens-Barros but he'd wanted to hide the fangs and that had taken a while.
"Um.... Miss Ellie? The Headmistress...master? Wants to see you," he said softly. "At... um... where everything happened."

Ellie's head snapped up. She faced Korlian, confused for a moment. "Is... someone else hurt?" she finally asked, worry creasing her brow.

He shook his head, "No. I do not think so... other than Professor Hawk has a few cuts on his cheek. She just wants you to come, I think."
He paused. Well, he was sore but mere bruises could wait. Besides, they would easily heal on their own. There was enough people in need of healing.

Ellie stood. Korlian didn't seem to be in any state of panic or severe injury.... Ellie eyed the bruises darkening his skin and took a few steps towards the door. The thought struck her that Conall must have been incapacitated in some way for her to be brought back to the scene.
"Let's go, then," she said to Korlian, continuing on into the corridor.
