Ellie stumbled around yet another corner and jogged down the respective corridor, wondering just how many passages were in this strange castle and why she had chosen to enter it in the first place. All she remembered was emerging, battered and bruised but otherwise unharmed, from the woods and finding this massive structure that seemed to spark a familiarity in her.
She could recall voices, laughing, poking and prodding, but nothing from before. Perhaps she was in shock. Maybe she had hit her head. Regardless, the woman knew that something was amiss and she was desperate to find out what.
And get out of the woods.

The young man peered around the corner, tilting his head slightly. His overlong blond hair tumbled into his eyes as he watched the peculiar woman. She looked so very lost, and so very alone.
Frog scuttled up to the woman, eyeing her closely for a long moment. There was something strange about her, yet terribly familiar, and woefully out of place. He circled behind her, leaned in until he was nearly touching her, and sniffed her hair. Frog's eyes went wide.
"You smell like the other place," he replied, hopping in front of her. "You've been gone for a long time."

Ellie flinched away from the young man, balancing a thin line between curiosity and fear up until the point when he sniffed her. She shrank back, her hands pulling themselves up to her chin, her blue eyes wide and reflective.
"Wh-what?" she stammered. "I have? What other p-place?"

"The place that isn't here," he whispered, swaying from side to side. "You've been in the wylds. You were there a long time. They're all over you."
He could feel it clinging to her. The imprint of the forest sparked and shimmered and pulled.

Ellie's brow furrowed and she took another step backwards. She didn't like the way the boy was moving. It reminded her of being poked and prodded and watched. She didn't know (or remember) what they were, but she was feeling inexplicably overwhelmed. It was then that she burst into nervous tears.

Frog hesitated, shifting nervously from foot to foot. He hated to see people cry. She was scared, and obviously didn't understand. And maybe, with how close it was to Hallows Eve...
"Don't worry," he assured her, smiling blithely. "I'll take you to Angel. He'll know what to do." Frog took her hands and gently urged her forward.

Ellie made a small noise at being touched, somewhere between a squeak and a short whimper. She yanked her hand from the boys and watched him for what felt like a full minute before, seeing that he meant no harm, held her hand out tentatively.
"Sorry," she whispered, hooking her hair behind her ear.

Frog grinned, leading her on toward his room.
"Angel will know what to do," he repeated. "Angel will help."
