Kyre strolled down the hallway with a book tucked under his arm. It was odd being among so many humans again; he wasn't quite sure how to take it, or why his father had insisted on him coming. Or even why his father had taken any sort of interest in him at all.
Humming a very old song under his breath, he looked around at architecture, stopping and focusing on an odd painting. What an odd place.

Paula had been awake for some hours, and had managed to consume roughly her body mass in coffee, so she was now feeling a little more human. She strode down the hall, enjoying the lack of students and anyone who might bother her. Until, of course, she rounded the corner and saw a very peculiar boy standing in the middle of the hall.
She was almost past him when it struck her that the boy looked very familiar. Paula did a sudden about-face and crossed her arms. "You, boy. Have I seen you before?"

He turned to look at her... look down at her. He'd forgotten how short humans were. And there was no doubt that was what she was. Nothing more than a simple human. His blue eyes pierced deeply into hers, burning much like Lhachlhass' had even with their cool color. "Not I."
The impudence of this wo- He strangled the thought. To her, he appeared to be an eighteen year old college freshman, perhaps somewhat more. "You are Paula Harris. I have heard of you. Apparently you are quite fun to play with."
Kyre's soft voice purred as he spoke, his face still tilted down to look at her. She certainly looked amusing. Perhaps his father had known what he was talking about when he'd insisted Kyre come to this school. If this was an example of the people here, he was going to have fun. And learning was always good too.

Paula's nostrils flared and her eyes narrowed. "Well, if you've heard that, then you're either related to Jonathan or Korlian, and there is no way Jonathan will ever have children. So I can assume that you're somehow related to Korlian."
God help us all if he is... She thought to herself, now beginning to get annoyed again. All the coffee in the world wouldn't stop her from being irritated at the Fae. Specifically ones related to Korlian or Lhachlhass.

"His son, Kyre Athdaire. I'm somewhat surprised he even knew of my existance," Kyre said with a shrug. "I'm in one of your classes, I don't remember which exactly. I'm told I tend to favor my human mother in personality, so you have little to fear. Though centuries of being raised by Fae will turn even full mortals into Fae as well."
Kyre shrugged, looking back at the painting. His father had thought this woman great fun. Kyre found her boring and ineffectual. Or at least, he was giving her that impression. If she thought he didn't find her interesting at all, she might be easier to play with later. He shifted his book, one on tracking, and looked at her with a raised brow. "Was there something else you needed? Or did I just get in the way of your personal rampage?"

Paula thought for a moment. "Yes. I recall seeing your name on something." She sighed. "I can't remember which one. And I do not have personal rampages, unless I happen to come across a student who thinks that I am, how did you put it? Fun to play with." She glared at the boy. "And if your father tells you such again, ask him if he would like spend time locked up again."

"I rather doubt you could cage my father unless he let you," Kyre purred. "Besides, I have little contact with him. Family generally means little to us. Korlian and Lhachlhass were very unusual in their familial ties."
He looked at her with a smirk, "Unlike you mortals, who seem desperate to find some blood relation to everyone else. Unless it gives you status, what purpose is there?"

Paula sighed and rubbed her temples. She did not like children, especially Fae children, no matter how human they claimed they were. "Korlian and Lhachlhass are unusual in a lot more ways than that. Now, unless you have something else to say, I'm going to go finish preparing for my classes." She turned and started to walk away.

"See you in class, Paula," he purred softly, then turned and left. Oh, she would be fun to play with. Mostly because it would be far too easy to really mess with her mind. He chuckled a little, humming happily under his breath. Maybe having to stay with all these simple mortals would be fun after all.
Maybe he should look up Jonathan. After all, he did look a great deal like his father in his natural form. Mostly the difference was in his eyes. Oh yes, and his very red hair, as compared to his father's blond. That was easily changed however, with his talents. Ooor, he could look like Uncle Lhachlhass. Yes, that idea appealed very much.
