Vincent shivered and pulled his coat tighter around himself, shifting his weight from foot to foot as he glanced left and right. Veronique had said that the two new professors would be here soon... Vincent hoped they'd be here soon. It was bloody cold out here.

Silvius tromped through the snow, kicking it up around him. He was more than slightly insulted that the headmistress has insisted that he be shown around the school like some sort of freshman -- no doubt the reason she had insisted upon it -- particularly given that he had been here on several occasions before.
He crossed his arms over his chest, staring down his hooked nose at the other man. "So," he drawled, his eyes narrow behind his glasses, "I take it you're the one who's to show me around?

Vincent raised his eyebrows slightly as he was glowered at by the newcomer, but kept the rest of his face calm. This was going to be fun. Or something.
"I am," he nodded, holding out a hand. "Vincent Hawk, at your service. And you are...?"

"Silvius Korlianes. Is there any way we could hurry this along? I'm not fond of the cold." He glanced around. "Are we waiting for something?"

"I was told there was another man coming," Vincent answered, his teeth chattering a little. "We can step inside for a moment to warm up if you like. I'm quite cold myself." He nodded toward the nearby entrance to the school. "Shall we?"

A dark shape became visible at the castle gates, advancing quickly until it became the form of a man, striding along through the snow with a purposeful expression to his face.
Isengrim approached the pair, flicking a glance at Korlianes before settling his gaze on the other one- mortal, if he could tell aright in this gods-forsaken place.
"Good afternoon," he said. "I take it at least one of you is in charge of this expedition." He spoke with a subtle tone that might be taken as a cousin to sarcasm.

Vincent turned toward the newcomer and smiled as he nodded, unsure what to make of the tone of the man's voice. "Good afternoon. Mr. Cothburn, I presume. I was told you were coming. Vincent Hawk, at your service."
Vincent held out his hand to the man, regarding him quietly. He cut quite an imposing figure, a little taller than Vincent and quite thick-set.Vincent could practically feel the charisma coming from him.

He raised his head in evaluation, then nodded once, ignoring Vincent's hand.
"Good to meet you." Puffs of steam floated around his head.

Silvius' lips thinned. He studied the newcomer from the corner of his eye, his eyebrow raising slightly. There were a thousand reasons the man might have shown up here, very few of them relevant to himself; that certain did not mean that Silvius was any less suspicious, however.
"So, now that our delightful little party is all present and acquainted, could we please move this to a more comfortable venue?"

"Of course," Vincent nodded, lowering his hand when it wasn't shaken. "Right this way."
He led the two men inside, sighing softly in gratitude at the rush of warmer air that greeted them as they crossed the threshold. Pulling off his gloves, he unbuttoned his coat a little as he walked.
"So what brings you to Dunehelden, if I may ask?" Vincent looked curiously at his two companions as he spoke.

"I wish to inspect the grounds and speak to the Headmistress. Certain facts have come to light that may affect those of my clan, and others, who have been enrolled here," he replied drily.

"I see," Vincent nodded. "Well, I could take you to see Veronique right away if you wish. She'll want to know you've both arrived safely, I imagine." He started heading in the direction of Veronique's office just in case.

"As you wish," he grunted.
His eyes flashed towards Silvius, wondering what his answer to Vincent's question was.

His eyes narrowed in Isengrim's direction. He was here on Werewolf business, then, or at least using it as a cover story. For the time being, he would let Isengrim be and hope the other man returned the favor -- and if not, well, Silvius would be prepared for that as well.
"I'm here to teach, as foreign a concept as that may seem, and beyond that my motivations are my own." His dark gaze snapped back toward Vincent. "And quite frankly, and I say this with the deepest possible respect, I think I've talked to the woman all I can stomach for the time being. If you feel the need to speak with her, I ask that you leave me out of it."

Vincent nodded, but didn't alter his course toward Veronique's office. "As you wish."
He couldn't help but feel slightly suspicious of Silvius and his unknown motivations -- but maybe that was his memories of Conall talking. How that vampire had managed to gain a teaching position was beyond him. Bloody psychopath.
Vincent shuddered a little at the memories of what that madman had done, and almost done. His hand twitched and clenched as he fought the urge to lift it to the left side of his face, which was still blatantly scarred from that night in October. If he had just let Korlian kill the bastard himself...
He sighed. What was done, was done, and Conall was dead, thanks to Diana's bravery along with everyone else's. Life went on.
